Tips and Tricks for Business Videos on Your CZcams Page
You may be thinking to yourself, can’t I just press record then just upload my video straight to social media? Theoretically you could, however, it may not be the most beneficial. Read on to see some of what Bridge Cable utilizes for their video producing!
    Where to Start
For recording purposes, it is recommended to use either a DSLR camera or a smartphone that can do 4K. These options may differ but you want to ensure that you are produce clear quality videos!
TIP: When recording with a smart phone, do not record vertically.
    Recording
If you are recording in an area that has any company logos other than your own be sure to blur them out in post production unless you have consent to use it. This also applies for any confidential information.
EXAMPLE: On our CZcams page we have a Tutorial video of a HikVision Door Access system and for security purposes, we blurred out the employee data from the software screen.
You want to make sure that your audience wouldn’t just be watching a silent video. TALK ABOUT IT! The CZcams community wants to know what you’re doing or what something is or how it is going to be done. You can either do a one take video that you have talking points through or you can always add a voice over in post production! Curious? See the examples below.
Whether it is a voice over or talking points while you record, try to make sure you speak in the manner your audience wishes to be spoken to. This includes but is not limited to lingo that the average person may not know without explanation, remain business professional and refrain from using profanity.
TRICK: If you have the ability to shoot extra footage, you can utilize this as B-Roll if the situation allows, such as the video below.
    Editing
You can use any software that you prefer. The Bridge Cable team uses Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro for our videos. But there is nothing wrong with free software either!
We recommend that you add an opening and closing title so that not only can you apply any demographics you deem necessary but it will allow for a consistent look across all videos.
Before you finalize your newest product, make sure to add your logo in a stationary spot on the video so that your audience knows it is your company no matter the social media platform they are watching it on. This also helps avoid others from stealing your hard work!
    Final Touches
On our CZcams page you will see that every video has the same thumbnail theme. It allows for a very clean and consistent look. It also makes it easier for your viewers to identify your videos while they are scrolling or for them to be able to find what they are looking for. We utilize Adobe Photoshop for our custom thumbnails!

You made that look pretty easy! Guess with these new tools fiber is getting easier and easier to terminate. Going to have to bite the bullet and get a setup and start the practicing. Thanks for good content.

The tools and the ease of use has changed over the years. With so much fiber out there it's getting easier and more precise as well. Tools are pricey still...that one was $550 but build it into your quote if you are just starting out. Then when you get the job...buy the tool...and it's in your inventory forever :)

Interesting fibre termination method, can see its benefit as a good field termination when a splicer is not present. What’s the average loss of a mechanical termination like this?

Barely 1 or none....on a skilled field tech! We do prefer to use a splicer and pigtails!!

Can't believe you didn't re-clean and re-cleave that fibre after you forgot to put the boot on!
