Another great video as always I really enjoy every video you talking about how young you were when you started farming brings back a lot of favorite memories of when I was young as well riding with my grandpa on some of the tractor's he had back when I was young and learning from him how to drive a tractor and helping him plant a garden I was like five years old when I started driving tractors and planting gardens and I learned how to work on them as well I was twelve years old when I learned to drive my uncle learned me how to drive his old 1972 Chevrolet truck witch had a three speed manual transmission on the column witch some people call it three on the tree and that old truck had manual steering seeing you doing farming brings back a lot of favorite memories you were such an adorable child and now a very beautiful young lady keep the very good videos coming GOD BLESS YOU Kate.

Looking at your pictures of when you were little just melts my heart. It makes me miss my daughter even more and reminds me of just how fast kids grow up. My daughter is in the Air Force. We text sometimes, which helps and she calls sometimes when she can, which helps too. But it is not the same as having her with me riding in the truck or sitting next to me on the couch, watching TV. My Father hauled marl to Farmers in SW Michigan .. One time he hauled marl to a Big Time Farmer in Schoolcraft MI in 1958. It was the biggest field he ever saw. It was a 40 acre field .. Most fields were 10 or 20 acres with so many fence rows.. Now many fence rows have been removed. Mostl fields are 40 acres or more some 120 acres.. Michigan has lots of Houses.. Swamps and Woods so not many square fields .. Seems the biggest field I ever spread Gypsum on was 260 acres.. That field had many fence rows removed over the years .. Formerly a dairy Farm.. Now seed corn and potatoes and soy beans.. They lease the fields out over 3rd year to Potatoe Farmers.. Seed corn is only raised every other year.. Usually they just rotate with Soy Beans ..

However, my experience was with smaller tractors and trucks. So when I turned 16 years old I was very confident to try for my licenses/permits and I passed first try. Thank you Kate.I did have a nice conversation with the Cornell administrator. Catherine says HI and she is glad you got snow but we need snow too. Our farm got enough snow for me to ski six times this week. Omaha got fluries so no winter sports for Catherine. We were in Omaha last night to se Catherine's last swimming lesson. We are giving her ice skating lessons for Christmas.

You bring us along with you on the farm, and it's so enjoyable to watch and learn about your farming practices. At the same time it's much more than just that, you are a very bright young lady, not just smart but pleasant and respectful. My Father hauled marl to Farmers in SW Michigan .. One time he hauled marl to a Big Time Farmer in Schoolcraft MI in 1958. It was the biggest field he ever saw. It was a 40 acre field .. Most fields were 10 or 20 acres with so many fence rows..
Now many fence rows have been removed. Mostl fields are 40 acres or more some 120 acres.. Michigan has lots of Houses.. Swamps and Woods so not many square fields ..
Seems the biggest field I ever spread Gypsum on was 260 acres.. That field had many fence rows removed over the years .. Formerly a dairy Farm.. Now seed corn and potatoes and soy beans.. They lease the fields out over 3rd year to Potatoe Farmers.. Seed corn is only raised every other year.. Usually they just rotate with Soy Beans ..

Hi Kate, I enjoyed your video and it was so cute to see your pictures combine. I relate to those rides when you were younger as my Dad did the same thing with me.
However, my experience was with smaller tractors and trucks. So when I turned 16 years old I was very confident to try for my licenses/permits and I passed first try.

I am sure if your legs could have reached the floor your dad would have had you learning to drive then !!! The biggest problem I had when I was learning to drive the tractor was I never had enough strength in my leg to push the clutch pedal in but I was only 7 years old !!!

Catherine says HI and she is glad you got snow but we need snow too. Our farm got enough snow for me to ski six times this week. Omaha got fluries so no winter sports for Catherine. We were in Omaha last night to se Catherine's last swimming lesson. We are giving her ice skating lessons for Christmas.
