    I think there is a easier way to do this. Just make one length of pipe from river to field. Put it in the river and let it fill with water. Close it on both sides with plastic and rubber strap so the water stays in the pipe. Take pipe out the river and put it on the dam. Punch a little hole on the river side in the plastic and then on the field side. when the water runs remove the plastics. Ps the easiest way would just be: Dig in the pipe and put the valve at the field side ;)

      With 2 pipes in the river u get greater pressure. But i agree u can do the whole thing outside the water and fill with water and the put in water and puncture the plastic covering

      এটা কোন বিচিত্র ঘটনা নয়।। পুকুরের থেকে নিচের দিকে বলেই হচ্ছে।। এতো কারসাজি করতে হতো না।। একটা সেকশন পাইপে জল ভর্তি করে ছেড়ে দিলেই সাইফন সিস্টেম চালু হয়ে যায়।। এই কারিসাজিটা অনেক আগে থেকে সকল চাষী ভাইরা জানে।।। পুকুরের জলের লেয়ার থেকে নিচু যায়গার দিগেই হবে।।

    Its like digging a canal on the side of the river because the surface level of river is higher than the rice field great idea but its only effective on high surface going to low surface

    Good 👍 job. You should release the the plastic bag sealer on the inlets before outlet. ( This way you don't need to rush fast to open the other side)

    When i was a kid im using this method to transfer water from the barrel of water to the small containers. Because in the past we need to stack waters in a large barrels because water in our place is hard to get. And im to lazy to transfer waters manually like the others kids so came up with that method. At that time i feel so smart when i came up that methods

      Same here. I used a short hose. When not in use, it was hooked on the rim of the barrel so I did not have to fill it with water again for every bucket.

    Fill the hose with water. close the water exit Then drag the rubber hose to the other side. Open it up. It will be easier.

    From your previous video, you have got rid of the metal container, less equipment, however you can add a non-return valve at the intake pipe to avoid jumping into the river?

      Correct! Here with no barrel, one needs a one way valve if you do not want to take a bath.

    Some rivers are way low level to the farm land, so Is there a workaround to it?
    Natural law is what brings the water out to the farm as it is at lower level than the water source. So he could just actually get a long big hose, fill it with water and connect the other end to the water source. It will give the same result as his one.

      Do you mean a workaround which requires no electricity, petrol, etc?
      *A hydraulic ram pump may be an option, if there is at least around 1m head down at the river/stream. There may be enough natural fall at some point, or it may be most practical to build a dam to get that 1m head.
      *Another option, which is more dependent on depth and flow, is a water wheel pump.
      Both of those can pump water to an elevation higher than the water source.
      The water itself combined with pump design, provide the energy needed to run these types of pumps.
      Efficiency varies with each design.
      There are many ways to do it.

    Awesome. I used to use a similar technique to transfer petrol from the petrol tank of a scooter into a bottle by using just a simple thin pipe. Just suck the air out and it keeps flowing.

    Thank you so much for this helpful informative video. Will this will work if the elevation where we want to hook up to barrels is much higher than the elevation of the stream or river (no more than 10 or 20 m higher elevation)? The distance from where the stream is is about 80 m.

      No this system only works from a high river to a low field. So does also a siphon with a barrel. The river must be higher than the exit. Adding a barrel to a siphon does not make it into a pump.

    The lower the discharge pipe outlet is placed, the greater the flow volume of the water coming out the discharge pipe...lower the discharge pipe to increase flow rate.

      It would not work if the discharge point is higher than the river level. Simply siphon system, no need for the tank. 🤔

      To lift water up hill you would want a Water Ram. Old style of pressure pump, simple to build.

      @@srinigypsy No. Adding a tank to a siphon does not make it into a pump. A siphon can not lift any water to a higher level than the source. It is correct though that a siphon can lead water over a 7 m high wall, but all that water must down under the source before exit.
