  • High Pressure Non-electric water pump, New design with three waste valves
In this video I design a high pressure non-electric water pump which is usually called a hydraulic ram pump. With the latest design
The material I use is made from PVC pipe which is designed with three valves so that this pump produces maximum pressure than before
Hopefully what I have done will benefit many people, especially in hilly areas where water is scarce, because this type of pump can last hundreds of years if the material used is made of iron.
Thank you for your input and suggestions
    Hope it is useful

    Warning!
A hydraulic ram pump is a water pump that has high pressure and can explode at any time.
Be careful when the pump is working, do not let your body rest on the tube
    Thank you for your participation
    Hope it is useful

Pompa Hidram merupakan pompa air yang bertekanan tinggi dan sewaktu-waktu dapat meledak,
Berhati-hatilah saat pompa bekerja, jangan biarkan tubuh Anda bertumpu pada Tabung
    Terima kasih atas partisipasinya
    semoga bermanfaat

You my dear friend are a very intelligent human being.
I'm an engineer and fully understand your process, methods and fluid dynamics obviously as you do too.
Your video presentation is outstanding and the way in which you apply multiples in process is admirable because it is correct 👍
      *As a note to you*
If you are not already educating the younger generations, please do so ,and the "above header precautionary notice you've stipulated is very important also- yes it can explode and be dangerous 👍
Thankyou for your wonderful efforts in presenting this on this platform and other platforms aswell if you've not done already!
This is exactly why CZcams was created.
It's YOU and who what you are without contrived nonsense!
You have a very good knowledge of fluid dynamics and mechanical principles that are your asset that is quite valuable to future generations and in saying so myself , please continue to inspire the future generations for they need you and people like you and I to show them in practice what is doable even when there is little at hand to achieve great feats.
Thankyou for posting a time piece of your talent ❤️👍

Your very smart and your video was really good. One thing you should've done before you started putting the pipe pieces into the fittings was to put a chamfer around the outside of the pipe so the pipes sharp edge won't scrape the glue as it's being pushed in. And as you were gluing all the pieces together you should've glued both the male pipe and the female socket ends that were going to be joined together and twist them about a quarter turn as you push them together. By not doing those two things it caused your pump to leak . And it's always good to debur the inside edge of your pipe too so nothing that might be in the water that gets through the screened fitting can get caught on the pipes edges and build up over time and get clogged up. I think if you would've done all that your pump would've held the preasure and not leaded . Another thing, if your going to build something that will have any kind of preasure build-up always make sure to let all glued joints go the full cure time. Some glue times can vary from 4 hours to 24 hours before putting pressure on your system and the companies that make the adhesive really advise you to not ignore the cure time before pressure is put on the system , I know you've put alot of time and money into your project . I really liked the way you made your own internal valve with the big pvc pipe you reformed flat and cut out and sanded your pieces round . You show alot of skill . Loved your video ! 🙂

I don't know this but all those big pvc pipe and fittings aren't cheep ! And it sucks if something goes wrong with your project after you worked really hard on it ! Your probably one of those guy's that can't stand for someone to give you help or constructive criticism ! You probably look at that as a slap in the face instead of someone trying to help teach you a better way / easier way to do something ! But if you didn't come up with the idea yourself you considered it an insult and get mad ! Sound about right ? Why don't you go back and read what I wrote and think again what you wrote to me .

This young man is what I call a PVC mechanic. VERY well done. Only correction I can say is to use cleaner on the pipe for better glue penetration… can budget the money by applying the glue to the female side of the fittings half way into each. Will save glue and make a neater and stronger connection. 👍GREAT job. Absolutely love your ability to make your own relief valves ! Adjustable at that . Amazing work ! Un-Paralleled work ethic’s 👍

Whenever using PVC pipe and couplings always glue both pieces even though it says cement, it is a welding chemical, that literally melts both pieces together , traditionally, not a glue.

Very interesting design, I see that the 3 valves could not only help in long-term operation but also with the pressure, however, I think it'd be smarter to make the 3 valves have their gates(or whatever you'd call the part that actually helps with the switching) physically connected to each other for synchronization (even tho it's able to sync by itself), or just use one single huge valve.
Also, I'm pretty sure the vibration will eventually make the nuts move out of place which will require manual tuning again, a simple fix for that would just be adding another nut or using something like Locktite ig.

@@jduzivotem3985 Now that i think about it, sure one can put electric pump on the intake or just swapping it to output when he climbs up, pressurizing the system and turn it off an on again to create the pressure change, but faking it takes more effort in automation than building this and ram pumps do create considerably less flow compared to main stream but if you look the water reserve pipe, there is hefty amount coming to keep it empty. Fill the dam full and it probably could work least until dam is empty.
I would love to build one to test this but lack any flowing water most of the year, so there is no point in that regard.

and they are called waste valves not strength valves i think 3 is a waste of material and build time plus three can cause issues of getting prper adjustment . a single waste valve will function the same and be eaiser to adjust and could increase your flow volume and pressure both. just remember the higher the pressure the lower the flow rate and lower pressusre will produce higher flow rate, trick is to find the optimum of bother for yout application and because it works on the water hammer affect there are a few factors to keep in balanceand the sudden elbow at bottom is actuall hurting effiecency of the ram a small amount drop of pipe from source shop be one single straight shot with no elbow heat and gently curve the feed pipe so no elbow try a few minor changes to the waste valve see if it helps 👍 well done and an ingeneous build for use. and i build the ram on my land over 50 years ago and it is still going strong and never skipped a beat in all those years

The valve assembly with the slotted pipe in a pipe is excellent.
I've never had a pvc glue with that long of an open time. The glue here hardens in 6 or 8 months so I just buy this blue lava stuff that is always on clearance. It is about as fast as they get. Not sure any of it is open that long. I've used near all of the different kinds and the most longest not more than 30 seconds. Might need polyurethane glue to have enough time to assemble it.

Bruh.....clean them pipes before drinking out of that.....then again....plants dont really care, and one should boil water from the environment anyways before consuming. But still, dont want any of that to flake off and foul the valve seals.
Initial apprehension out of the way, very fine use of the ram pump concept! Looks like goodly amount of feeder head to push with too, I can see how it would build up a decent pressure/flow rate on its own. I agree with other commenters, more robust materials would ensure a longer life span, but the design is simple enough that individual parts can be replaced as needed. However, that PVC is going to rot in the sun, it doesnt like UV. Try burying it some. Not much, just enough to keep the UV off it and any problematic compounds in the air from degrading it. PVC in the ground lasts decades without issue. Also, if you can get some, try ABS (the black pipes). They're spun fibers so they hold up to pressure much better, ABS doesnt degrade in the environment like PVC (although, while it will last much longer, it still isnt happy being in the sun all the time), and in the unlikely (well, with your monster pump, potential...lol) event of an explosion ABS turns to ribbons, instead of shrapnel shards like PVC. Its still dangerous, as any pressure release can be, but you wont get spikes of plastic flying at your neck. Keep that valve design PVC though (or similar easy to work material), Ive never tried, but I imagine ABS wouldnt take kindly to being worked down like that. Oh, and the hardware on those outlet valves, where air can get to them, there is a potential for rusting. If you cant fully submerge that bit, try hitting the all-thread and spring with paint or a thin coating of soft setting glue mainly where then metal has been cut as that is where the stainless coating isnt protecting the steel.
Still, in a world of something being better than nothing, that design is a very functional solution!
Also, this video underlines the person who sees another person who doesnt look like them squatting in the jungle and assumes that primitive must know nothing worth while, is the one who truly knows nothing of the world in which we all live. Everyone we meet will know something we dont. Never pre-judge, be cruel, nor cowardly. Offer to assist in bettering someone's day when you can, where you can, if you can, how you can, while you can. The only way we will make it through all this alive is together 😎👍

The ram jet pump is a great idea. However, my only complaint is the exhaust / waste water that is discharged. If there is some way of capturing that water, I can see a great future for solving some of the world's problems!

    • @troywhite6039
      @troywhite6039 Před 4 měsíci

You can capture and use it at that level or below but the waste water is used to power the pump so it can't be pumped up, there will always be some wasted to perform the work but it can still be used for things below the waste valve. If you have a plentiful water source the waste is not important, nature takes care of it.

Of course it will only pump while the water in his pond stays above the intake pipe. I I did not see any pond spill over so is the inflow more than the outflow from the Ram pump?
