My entire family are JW's including my oldest son 48 years old whom has not spoken to me since he was 18 years old. My mother didn't speak to me for 20 years, my sister I saw her on her wedding day when she was 20 and saw her again at the age of 52 years old. My brothers I wouldn't recognize them if I see them on the street. I'm a Christian and pray for my family every night. Every single word in this video is true. My ex-JW husband took care of his mother all through her infirmity until her death. She was a JW. His three JW siblings did nothing to help her. When she died, he was shunned at her funeral. Memorial pamphlets were being handed out at the door of the Kingdom Hall, and when the man handing them out recognized my husband, he yanked it away from him. The depth of this cruelty when he was in grief was the most cruel act I have ever witnessed.

Before I became a Jehovah's Witness my mother took us to several religions and what I saw from an early age is that Jehovah's Witnesses are the most loving peaceful people in the whole entire world. having said that -- we are imperfect --every one is -- even Jehovah's Witnesses. But if we follow the good book--we should aim for what jesus said in john --13:35--. if you read this and you heart moves you read the bible--and you will learn that apostle peter became prejudiced but he was humble enough to take correction and change. ( can you imagined if he would not have changed? do you think the other apostles still accept him with his racist attitude---- lets say true christianity would not be the same.)

My mom told my sister and I that they would continuously try to take us away from her when we would go somewhere in groups. My mom never wanted to leave us thankfully but I don’t wanna know what would happen if she let us go. We were scared and had to stay at our house. We have to be cautious whenever we go to the grocery stores and other stuff we need because we might see them. Before quarantine they would come knock on our doors and stay there for ours to see if we would respond. They always text and call us as well. My mom can’t block them because they might contact us and we wouldn’t know it was a member. One time, they stayed when I came home from school. My sister was in middle school and she didn’t come yet. They were just standing there and my mom was gonna call the cops. They left and thankfully my sister didn’t come home yet. It was very scary.

I was raised in "The Truth" as both my grandparents were Jehovah's Witnesses. My aunt and uncle chose to stop going when they were 16 and my grandmother never made a big deal about it but I was the exception. Because my dad had killed himself, my grandmother once said she was raising me "to fix how she messed up with her other kids" meaning I was FORCED to attend every meeting, bible study, and assembly. I couldn't have friends outside of the organization. And when the abuse my grandmother inflicted on me was brought to light and DFCS got involved, I was sent to live with my biological mother (who wasn't a JW but was equally as abusive as my grandmother). Once I finally fought my way out of that situation and came back to my hometown, I was shunned by all of my family that are still Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm the only one. My aunt and uncles. My cousins. All of the ones that CHOSE to leave still have contact with the family. I'm never thought of. Never spoken of. They don't contact me and on the off chance I see any of them in public they look the other way and pretend I'm not there.
When I was young and still in "The Truth", the way the brothers and sisters of our congregation would get me to be a good witness was to remind me of my dead father and say "Don't you want to be a part of the New System so you can see your dad?"
A couple of years back I got a letter in the mail from my cousins grandmother. It was a nice letter. She reminisced about when my cousin and I were younger and talked about how much joy me coming to spend the night with her and my cousin brought her. It was a fairly long letter and I was smiling by the time I got to the last page. Then... "I wish you would come back to Jehovah. Your children need The Truth. They need Jehovah. Don't you want to save your children's lives?"
I'm in my 30's now and the only family I have are my kids and my husband but that's all I need.

I would only suggest you get a little more context in what this godly “fear” refers to, maybe studying a little more, not trying to belittle u btw. This is the best way to put it, when one doesn’t want to disappoint their parent, there’s a sense of fear, this is the same fear, it is not a morbid one, the Bible says god is love, so much was done for us to have the hope that we have, there’s not much gain in expanding the ministry how it has and in the multitudes of languages as well other than to get the message across via the Bible, I’ve disbelieved before, several times, and also not cared, but I grew a hunger to know the truth and it was clear after studying what it was and my sadness was b/c I needed to dig just a little deeper, and want to too ofc.

The Bible warns about Jehovah's Witnesses, it warns of false teachers, false prophets, those that add to or go beyond scripture. *JWs claim to follow the Bible and yet* no Bible I know of says anything about 1799,1844,1874,1879, 1914,1915, 1918, 1919, 1925, 1936, 1940's, 1950's, 1960's,1975, 2000,ect. JWs call their literature "food FROM God", repeat "food FROM God" yet it has these false dates.
*"Jehovah's Witnesses, ... have suggested dates that turned out to be incorrect."* Awake 1993 Mar 22 page4
*Jehovah’s Witnesses have had wrong expectations about when the end would come.* - Jan 1, 2013 Watchtower
"Does this admission of making mistakes stamp them [Jehovah's Witnesses] as false prophets? Not at all, for false prophets do not admit to making mistakes." Watchtower, Nov. 1, 1972, page 644 - in brackets added
Admitting to making false prophecies doesn't magically change them, they are still Bible defined false prophecies.(Deut 18:20-22) Very poor reasoning, probably why JWs "suggested dates" and went beyond scripture. Food from God?
I guess you could say that even JW religion says they are false given their admission to false teachings that they have carried worldwide!

If you don't make progress in your bible studies and come to baptism, they'll drop you and remove the love just as fast. And don't make any friends there because if you ever change your mind about the religion, you'll be left completely alone. They will not be allowed to talk to you ever again. Is that love?? I knew though that it is to protect the company and its employees from potential negative influences that may come about by the person fired. I get that. Since then, most of my career positions have had similarities. I’ve seen and gone through what all that can do. Organizations in different various fields have this system and its to again, protect against anything that might disrupt their order of business or system. Even families themselves do this when a member of the family does things differently that is not in accordance to how the family in itself has been. Y’all know all this said is true. Everyone here has “shunned” someone, something from their life because YOU as a personal organization have not agreed with or felt right with! JW’s don’t “shun” when the person is working with the organization just as a job or a family member will not “shun” a person if they are in accord with what they agreed to do. The minute you start doing different....well YOU decided to do so! YOU decided to not follow whatever it is! So you decided NOT TO BE PART OF THAT GROUP, ORGANIZATION, JOB ETC...... none of us can be employed at Walmart but walk into work with a home depot shirt and start professing their way of business and expect to be working their much longer! Yes it’s your right but it doesn’t work with their system. I guarantee you that if OUR jobs were on the line for YOUR misrepresentation, none of us would support you. Same here and you all know it. Next time you go into your precious jobs, carriers etc....take something different to their way of doing business that’s off from the organizations doctrine or manual...see how long you’ll be employed. JEHOVAH’s witness have it right! Best organization I’ve been involved with! They have helped me and my family through thick and thin and I’ve never been happier! I had to make some adjustments in my life that were Not healthy, YES gave up several things but glad I did and will continue. I’ve been to other religions and they all bend their decrees, doctrines, way of thinking in order to support the person doing wrong! Yes wrong! Jehovah DOESNT CHANGE! At least they stick to their bible proven beliefs and put GOD 1st the best they can in an imperfect world along with imperfect men and women!
If you fall for that type of news then YOU are the one being misled! I for one am glad my mind was washed. Isn’t that how things become CLEAN??

This is 100% true. I am faded for the 2nd time. I left for 12 years but was married to an active JW. She left me and our children and was disfellowshipped. Her daughter(not mine biologically but mine as I raised her since 3 years old into adulthood) would not speak to her. My ex was the one who was pushing my daughter to get baptized young and couldn't talk to her for 5 years due to being disfellowshipped. During our divorce I went back for 4 years. Then at my last attended meeting ever, we were handed a new Bible which was changed. I looked around that assembly hall and didn't see anyone who was truly happy. I never attended another meeting. No one really came looking for me either, even though I had different assignments in the Kingdom Hall. My oldest sister disassociated herself years ago and is doing well in life. My next sister has been disfellowshipped twice, this last time for 20+years. She carries a great deal of pain from the shunning. Losing her mother to cancer and being shunned at the menorial service. Having 3 children that were isolated from the rest of the family but only associated with when my parents would take them to meetings. It's a thoroughly controlling religion and cult. Many more would leave if they didn't have the everlasting death lie held over their head and shunning as a reality. Being used to pay for Kingdom Halls the society then sells and shares none of the profit. Being encouraged to donate to cover expenses of assemblies so the billion dollar corporation doesn't have to pay to recruit and keep you indoctrinated. As a JW you think this is all normal and God's will. You never have time to step back and just analyze it. They control your time and fill it so you can't reflect. There's always the next thing to do for them. I still have family in the cult. I hope they one day can see what is really happening to them. I hope they have the courage to stand up and walk away. There are really good people there. They just are under rules and control they can't cross. They are in bondage 100%. The worst thing is an imprisoned mind.

@@MrGuy-cp1gt we have another believer of the trinity here. People talk about the holly spirit like it's a person well where in the bible does it say what his name is? There is no name since it's not a person but god's invisible active force he uses to complete anything he wants to accomplish. Assuming about the bible won't get anyone anywhere on the road to understanding to soon. Like the word God! Is this a name or a position? Gods name jehovah was removed from the bible by king James of England back in 1500's because he didn't want it in his bible. Removing the author's own name is not good but jehovah would never allow his name to be removed completely which is why it was left in at Psalms 83:18 and three other places. So don't Assume anything until you know the facts!

@@lisapearson6455 the holly spirit spoke! what is the name of this person? Every person in the bible has a name even God. The name jehovah was in the orginal scriptures of the king James VERSION 7000 times before they removed it as the Catholic's did. They missed removal in couple places like psalms 83:18. Our bible uses the original scriptures with nothing removed because altering the bible to suitable taste is very bad! but just in easy to understand English. That's why christiandom will be destroyed in the battle of Armageddon as revelation refers to this as babalon the great the world of false religion. The bible doesn't lie! People do!
