Your photos and videos are wonderful. Well done and this video (after watching many others) convinced me to actually buy this camera.
It's really tough to choose between having a camera that can perform very well in low light versus one that has longer zoom range. I'll be waiting to see what they come up with RX100 vIII in July. Thanks for your review :)
I follow your travel channel in the Airstream, but first found you reviewing camera gear on this channel. Hope you put out more videos on this channel, I always find them informative. I have the Sony A9 and A7r3 as my main cameras, and may have to try out this RX 100 VII.
Thanks, I am going to try to revamp this channel and post some fun stuff that doesn't quite fit with the Airstream RV stuff. There's a lot I would like to be doing, but I'm afraid it dosn't always fit into RVing. As for the camera, owning an RX100 VII has made me want an A9!
This was great! Photography is an important part of traveling for most people. Your sharing of new technology that works for you is very informative.
Lovely photo's! Nice video!
You have just convinced me to get one. Thank you.
I have now owned a Mar1V for just over a year now and used it regularly for about six months and then hardly at all. It is a miracle of camera technology and both beautifully crafted and capable of super results. The problem is that as a practical camera it does not work at all. I now reach for my d800 or even my ancient d300 in preference because they are much more intuitive, make it much harder to alter settings accidentally and they are both up to the job. Sorry Sony but not for me How about an updated R1 (nothing changed but an uprated sensor).
nice and thank you for sharing your experience about the camera.
Thanks for watching! It's a really great piece of technology. A baby A9.
Great review. I love my RX100 VII. New subscriber here
Hi Sean. We have the new IDOLCAM VlogStar V2 shotgun/Lavalier microphone in one, small size, perfect for vlogging with RX100, can we send you one to you to play with?
Hey Sean. Thanks for the review of the Sony RX100 VII camera. I think this will be a perfect "carry everywhere" camera for me. I used to lug around a Sony A77 DSLR with a bag full of multiple lenses and have been looking for something that will fit in my pocket that I can take almost everywhere. I wonder if you could tell me more about the red stick on button you put on your shutter release button? I have looked everywhere and have only found them in clear and black. I'd really like to get some red ones. Do you have a link to what you got? Thanks so much.
Hi Mark, that is a great question. Honestly I think I bought that button at a Michael's arts & crafts store several years ago. If you go into one of those stores, ask around for the sticker section. You will eventually find sheets of stickers in various shapes and sizes. Oddly enough, I found a sheet of red rubber circular stickers that work wonderfully with the RX100 and a few other similar devices. I like having a distinctive red button with a travel camera, because in the event you need to ask a stranger to take a photo of you, you can always say "just press the red button." Hope this helps. Cheers
Nice review! I'm considering this camera for a cruise to Hawaii, so I don't need to take along my a9 ii.
I really love it. For me it's a big leap over previous generations.
Great Review!!!!
Hi, thanks for your share about this, I'm from Thailand, but now I'm living in Taiwan for 3 years, next year I'm back to Thailand. 🎉
I love Thailand! I plan to return in January
One of my favorite FUCKING videos about this camera. You make quality videos young man!!!
Hello, Do you also know when the new sony RV100 Viii will be released?
Sony never tells. They do have a few cameras coming later this year, so I suspect a new RX100 will be in the mix.
@@TheSeanMichael Thank you for response.
👍😍
09/24/2020 Thank you for this information
hey, beautiful video man! do you know why the bitrate of some of your sample videos looks so low (or something else?) I dont think its only the yt compression.
Hmmm, I know I have done a few livestreams on this channel and they look awful. I will doublecheck and see if I can see a problem. I typically render to 1080p 30p.... it just seems to work, although I realize that's hardly pushing the envelope these days. Thanks!
this video says it all, i decided to leave all my sony gear at home and just take rx100 and dji mini 2
Dude have you ever owned an rx 100 before? The flip screen has been around for years on it, im questioning if you have actually used one before now
I have owned the RX100 ii (no flip but MI shoe), iv, v, and now the vii. Seems like the flip was introduced on the iii.
@@TheSeanMichael ok I because I have the iv and there is def a flip screen on it not sure about below the iv tho
Overal good
You get this camera for the photos...the iPhone does a better job with video.
It costs as much as an a6600 body I couldn't justify the cost. Portability is nice but not for that price. Maybe under a thousand.
