- Hey folks, today we find out how far you can go in (high speed) mode on the Mototec. This is a long one, but I speed the footage up to 2x so it did cut it in half. Oh also, if you don't like music...TOO BAD!

I absolutely do. I'm a bit hefty so I only get 25 on flat ground. Any suggestions for upgrades before you do it yourself? Any suggestions for a new charger? Mine came with a 2a charger that refuses to turn green when charge is complete

No DJ, but like many people I trust my ears, and like moving beats. Oh yeah, in this day and age people are adverse to anything, even music. I remember one dude shared his disdain with the "urban music I play". We know what that means...lol. Simply put my video's aren't for everyone, but you choose what to play on your channel...we got this over here! For everyone 1 person that hates music, there are 100 who love it.

these are super fun!! Huuuge torque, hold on tight. When the battery dies, it's dead. there is minimal lights. upgrade the hud would be ideal. OFF ROAD park runner for sure. many miles, use a micrometer to test voltage to make sure getting full charge.

Aww, you watched the whole video, Thank you buddy! Yeah the range isn't as bad as I thought. I love my little deer, they are all through are neighborhoods, no bears, but we also have coyotes and foxes.

No problem. Got mine from Dave's Big Toys. The kickstand came loose but, should be an easy fix. Everything else has been good.

I got mine about 2 months b4 you (according to your posted video date). The scooter does haul ass and I like it alot......the only thing I dislike the most is the weight (hands down) which is why I'm looking forward to you upgrading to lithium on it so I can take notes and your absolutely spot on with the battery meter, as it only gives you an accurate reading while your accelerating not when your standing, but doesn't bother me much, just the weight thing, other then that it's great, I love the power and torque of this scooter.....I need to install a lithium, just not sure which one yet. Im definitely open to any advice.

I got rid of my 48v lead acid 40 pounds n upgraded th 48v 20ah lithium it last much longer takes off faster speed gain u can feel the difference in power also the lithium battery is only 11 pounds the scooter is very much light can carry it down stairs without struggle of the lead acid battery scooter now feels like a toy upgrade its hella worth it not to mention its only 1000w 48v I'm 240 top speed was 26.8mph

Whoa, sorry Mike no I didn't. I would suggest getting the Mototec Chaos with the lithium battery. 30 miles in eco mode. I will be upgrading to lithium but will cost me an extra $500.

I wonder if the jerky up and down power has to do with heat buildup in the battery? I’ve noticed on my scooter if I run it hard with no break it does that
That was the 1st time it ever did that. Just to confirm, yours is doing that even on a full battery?
I have a different scooter but yeah I took it on a long ride to try to figure out how far I could go and it did the same thing once I got about 5-6 miles I was afraid it was going to leave me stranded so I took it home . My battery indicator is junk so I don’t trust it either. But I did ride it apx a mile the next day without changing it and it was fine
Yeah, all the battery operated forms of transportation come up short when the battery drains.

@@kachiskid does your charger turn green upon being fully charged. Mine won't turn green when it's fully charged unless you unplug then replug in and if it's charged it'll stay green

Im trying to figure out why, my 36V lithium non branded can take me top speed 24mph on flat with honda off road tires. But I see some 48v 2000w like this only do 4mph better? Im a bit confused.
How many watts is you scooter rated at? What bike is it?

@@AmadithArt Sorry about that, I didn't see your comment bro. So Scented Style said it best, the wattage ratings on these motors are a lot of hype. I can't confirm at what rpms my motor spins at, but I doubt it's that much more than yours. The lithium battery gives you a shot in the arm with the weight reduction also.

No the batteries should last you for about 150 cycles of recharge/discharge.

At my weight, don't see that as being a problem. I have gone up some pretty steep inclines with no issues.

Hi,, is that 2000 watt running on 48 volt SLA batteries?
I have the same scoot but 1000 watt and i have mobiltiy issues so i really dont want to run out of juice far from home.
Hey Brent, yes it is running on lead acid now, but hopefully soon will be upgraded to lithium. You should be getting about the same distance as I do, maybe a a slower speed. What does yours top out at? 23 mph?
@@kachiskid 25mph. But I only go about 5 mph on the pavement.
That's fast, and you are a wise man! Then your should last for 10-12 miles every trip.
@@kachiskid That is good to know as i am only able to manage to use it now and then and only for short little runs.
@@kachiskid It does loose a lot of go when you go uphill if you are trying to go fast but its fine if like me you are not hard on the throttle.

just brought a 52v 2000w ion lithium battery for my mototec and cannot find any video at all on what I would need to do to swap it out with wiring and stuff because the wires that this scooter comes with is barely used in other scooters.
I know, I haven't made it yet...you should do the internet a favor and be the 1st. Where did you get the battery, and what connection did they send you? I am getting a 60v 2000w in 2 weeks and very little info. Supposedly the BMS should take care of not needing a fuse like Scented Style did his, but I haven't tested that theory. @@kachiskid there are also a few scooter shops I may try to stop by today and show them pics of my scooter discharge plug to see if they might have something on hand I can get from them I'm in NYC and there are literally tons of scooter shops out here that should have some kinda knowledge on it. @@kachiskid ok cause I just got mine a couple of months ago and that torque is something else I had a big crash and I do think it's because of those tires they bumpy.

i have the 60v version same range has lithium they say i found out its a LIPO4 battery they are heavy and weak but good for storage , so if have solar pannels the battery pack is great but on a scooter just pure disgrce from them as a company.
its got its got power i will say that battery and the false advertimnet is what lets them down should say range 5 miles have good blast to the shop n back and upgrde down the line/
my opion on my scooter seriously crap , but seriously a wow factor just take it off road with some bikers all will be good on a dirt ride till battery cuts out should be able to get 30 mins from it of use
