All you need is pi heads, 96-98 have a Romeo engine so it’s easier to get heads from a 02-04 mustang. 99-01 have Windsor engines if you get Windsor heads you’ll need the timing cover also. Cams I had some stage 1 bullet racing cams from cushman motorsports they sounded nice, they are for pi the npi heads won’t let you go with a high enough lift to be worth it. You can get a whole pi motor and it’s easier but pi heads on a npi bottom end make higher compression wich is a better powerband. I’ll get more into detail on my next video

I just pi swapped and used the stock npi exhaust manifolds because at the time I had a 96-98 off road x pipe, it all depends what you have if you have a stock h pipe then use your npi exhaust manifolds if you plan on getting a off road mid pipe just remember that you have the npi manifolds they have little differences if that makes sense

Gonna be folowong you build
Yeah you can keep your stock manifolds on pi heads, you’ll need new timing chains, timing guides and chain tensioners, and if you do cams you’ll need new cam bolts, what year pi heads did you get?
Ok cool Romeo heads should all fit plug and play. 99-01 mustangs had Windsor motors, 96-98 and 02-04 have Romeo just a lil info if that helps to keep I’m kind

That’s awsome sn95 gang. The cams I got have no issues in that and sound great for being stage 1 cams, bottom end is untouched and npi with pi heads bumps compression so a tad bit better powerband, also those heads you got are Windsor heads, your 97 has a Romeo motor, the heads will fit but you will also need to grab a hold of a 01 timing cover because the Romeo timing cover will not fit with the Windsor heads

All I did to my old Pi swapped cammed 4.6 was add cams, I left the stock valve springs

What cam+pistons did you say was in it ?
The whole bottom end is a stock npi so stock pistons, pi heads are from a 03 mustang, cams are from Cushman motorsports stage 1 pi cams
