COBRA KAI takes place over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament with the continuation of the inescapable conflict between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). Season 4 finds the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang dojos joining forces to take down Cobra Kai at the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament... and whoever loses must hang up their gi. As Samantha and Miguel try to maintain the dojo alliance and Robby goes all in at Cobra Kai, the fate of the Valley has never been more precarious. What tricks does Kreese have up his sleeve? Can Daniel and Johnny bury their decades-long hatchet to defeat Kreese? Or will Cobra Kai become the face of karate in the valley?

Season 4 was marketed the best, and was the most anticipated season, along with the third one. It didn't quite seem that way with Season 5, even if that one was great all the way too though!

It's crazy to think how we were all anxiously, and impatiently awaiting for Season 4 to be here in another two months exactly a year ago! Whoever thought we'd have not one, but TWO more seasons of Cobra Kai under our belts a year later at the time!? But hopefully we'll be getting an official Season 6 announcement before long, whenever that may finally happen though!
I think season 7 will be the last but I would like 8 seasons I think that’s just about right
@@Akz4200 That would be good, even if another season or two after the sixth one will be stretching things a bit. But I wouldn't dare mind if we got anymore seasons beyond that, as long as they can find ways to keep the show fresh and exciting, without it going too stale if it drags on a bit longer than it should though.

Daniel would have killed Kreese since Johnny gave him the okay to do it, but they had to save Daniel from killing Kreese, so there would be a Season 4

Something tells me Silver is going to turn on Kreese at some point. Whether it's in this season or the next, I'm just getting that vibe.
Even though he told Kreese during their Vietnam days that he's always got his back for saving his life, he's still a cunning and self-serving villain. Why would he come out of retirement from karate after all these years for the sole purpose of being Kreese's right-hand man? He could be using this partnership as a stepping stone to something greater for himself, not unlike how Kreese used Johnny for his comeback in season two. He's obviously still got the wealth and connections to pull it off, too.
There is also what Robby says about there not only being one way to fight. Robby has always been a very impressionable and easily influenced character. This could have been a thought put in his head by Silver. Combine that with the scene of what looks to be Silver training him in the "Quicksilver" method one-on-one, and you could have the makings of a coup within the ranks of Cobra Kai.
I dunno; just a theory. I've been wrong about this series more than once, and I could easily be wrong here.

@@nocomment6012 they’ve done everyone dirty in this series. They did Miguel dirty in S4, they did Robby dirty in S1 and S4 and they’ve done Hawk dirty in S5 the whole show is a rollercoaster. But yes I agree it makes more sense for Robby to win

There is something sneakily wholesome about this show, and it puts me off. Great storytelling, great actors, I watch it every new season. But I always have this gut feeling it is the equivalent of, say, Mormons trying to film a gritty show. Hard to put into words.

I like to see the fight scenes, of the students. As for the older actors, I note that the blond William Zabka (Johnny) knows karate positions and knows how to fight, but the actor Ralph Macchio (Daniel Larusso) is really bad. He doesn't know how to position his body or fight at all, they use doubles in these scenes. I've trained karate for 16 years and I know what I'm saying. That actor could have trained some karate moves to do the TV series, so he wouldn't look ridiculous, okay? For example Tom Cruise trains fight scenes for the movies he makes, Keanu Reeves also trained fights to make the "John Wick" movies.
