Hello wanderers! I am about to leave for a two week trip to Japan! I'm going to live out of one backpack - the Aer Travel Pack 3! Let's check it out together! This is my first time exploring the bag that I'll be living out of - so it should be interesting!

First: S excited for your to go to Japan!! Can't wait to all the amazing videos! As an Alpa diehard I am very interested in the AER. I can't wait to hear how it works for you. I still love my Alpa though and it is going to be hard to beat. I have the same packing cubes and there is no way I would travel without them...they will make life so much easier. I like the idea of using the front panel as your dopp kit, excellent way to save space. Enjoy and can't wait for the full review!!!

Does the X-pac look better than nylon one?
Recently completed a 10-day trip in Italy with this exact bag (in X-Pac). It's undoubtedly the most comfortable travel bag I've ever owned (even without the waist band - though the waist band helps too). I really like the magnetic sternum/compression straps and how the compression straps don't cover up the main compartment. I expected the main compartment to be a bit bigger, but I wound up fitting more than I thought I could. The zippers have loosened up over the past few months too so it's easier to open. Hope it serves you well in Japan!

Hmmmmmm….potentially but it would really make the front section unusable
The zipper pulls on this bag are obnoxious, you struggling to get the main compartment open had me rolling. First thing that I changed on the bag.
Great bag otherwise, just wish the compression straps were just regular side release buckles. The magnets come apart far too easily and aren't any easier to release than regular buckles.

@@ThePerfectBag They're just too long, and the main compartment/admin panel zippers being very close together causes them to get tangled up on eachother. Very frustrating but a simple fix.

@@ThePerfectBag I think in metro areas yes! There's definitely a bag culture in Japan. Heck, there's a guy who does a lot of "B" roll for bags who is FROM Japan. LOL.
