When BTS went to the BBMAs, Taylor Swift was the only one that went to visit THEM at their dressing room as opposed to them going to visit a western artist, she also was pretty much the only artist that got up and danced and applauded them for their first performance. She is amazing

I told someone recently that BTS resurrected my passion for music! Love watching you fall in love with Bangtan. I'm a 58-yr-old who fell in love with them a little over a year ago and it's fun watching you do the same. Please keep the videos coming! My bias is Jimin so I love your reaction every time he shows up! I teared up right along with you during Boy With Love, btw. It's kind of unreal the amount of love they show for the fans through their music and social media, etc. They are really something very, very special and are changing the world with compassion, kindness, and love💜💜💜

I used to love music so much growing up. I was constantly buying CD's to listen to and loved listening to the radio. And then at some point I started losing interest in current music. I was like oh no I've reached the age where I'd rather listen to older music than new music releases (I'm 35). I think I was just tired of all the vulgarity that's in a lot music nowadays. So when BTS came along it was so refreshing. And because their music is so versatile sonically and lyrically I just never get bored. And in their music they actually talk about things I can relate to. I'm so happy they are a part of my life and I'm enjoying the ride.

I agree about BTS reigniting my passion for music. Before I found them, I literally only listened to talk radio. I didn’t like how western music became so dirty lyrically. I guess I’m old fashioned (51 yo) and I’m ok with that. I know BTS have cuss words in some of their stuff, esp rap line, but it’s not the same.

Jimin once explained how he purposefully tucks his shirts in in a way that will allow them to come loose and fly up during choreography... and JK admitted to oiling his abs before "Fake Love" performances... they know
JIMIN is an angel, a cutie pie, and sweetheart, BUT he can definitely wreak you when he wants to. He is my bias and I love him for him.
I also love Suga and he is my other bias because he is also very sweet and loving and his messages through the songs he writes are very meaningful.
Fun Fact about Suga:
During the boys' first year of debut, for Suga's birthday, HE himself made over 300 thank you gifts (a couple of chocolates and a sweet message to go along with it) to give out to their fans during a fan meeting that the boys had with Army in a park somewhere just as a thank you for support them and loving them.
SO. FREAKING. SWEET! ON his birthday (or maybe close to his birthday, I'm not sure) he DID that. My love for him grew more when I learned about that and it continues to grow the more I learn about Suga, Jimin, and the rest of the boys.
I have been an Army for close to 4 years now, I love them so much, I don't think I will never forget them, I will still be listening to their music even when I'm old and wrinkled.

It's not even fan-service, that genuine true love they show ARMY. In November 2021, during their mini 4 day LA tour, RM said "We are the bullet, and you are our proof, together we are bulletproof" I was there when he said it and nearly sobbed. And their album is called "Proof" aka "ARMY" And it's an anthology album. Implying a story of what ARMY brought them together. They love ARMY very dearly 💜
Got to say, I was extremely proud when I heard Proof was the #2 best selling album in the US for 2022, right behind Taylor Swift. This, for an anthology, is amazing!
Male ARMY were given the chance to make some noise during the Las Vegas (or was it LA?) concert and they were so loud! The boys were so happy to hear so many male ARMY attending. Honestly, I'll have go find the clip because it was so touching. Me and my fiancé were there and my fiancé felt so connected to everyone else there that day from that moment.
It was in Las Vegas concert when V asked male fans to make some noise. You could find clips of this on CZcams. I think it was days 3 & 4.

You know there are playing their "Yet To Come in Busan" concert from this past October in Theaters globally on Feb 1st? Right? You can go watch their ENTIRE CONCERT on a huge screen :)
If you or if anyone else is interested. BTS last concert as 7 members until 2025 Yet To Come Busan concert will be in movie theaters worldwide starting February 1st for a limited time. I went to the movies last year for their Permission To Dance onstage concert live from Seoul and it was such a fun time. I'm sure this time will also be fun and a bit emotional.
Boy With Love. My favorite thing about the song is that the Korean title is actually: A Poem for Small Things. Its beautiful if you think of that when listening to the lyrics. 💜

I remember watching the American Music Awards in 2017 and muted their performance. I was 15 at the time, and was so arrogant. Cut to junior year of high school. And I was trash talking about them in front of my friend. But what I didn't know was that my friend has been a fan of them since middle school. What's sad is I have known her since middle school and she never felt comfortable talking about her interest with me because she knew how I would react. I was a close minded child. So I told her, as we were sitting at the lunch table junior year, that I would take a listen. She never forced me, she actually didn't want me listen because she didn't want me to fake liking them for her. It took me 2 months after that conversation to listen to a song. In 2020, at the start of COVID, the first song I listened to was "Blood Sweat & Tears." Now its been almost 3 years, since then, and 2 years since I got my mom to love them too. And my bestie is proud to say her best friend is an Army too. ☺

Most iconic and replayed part of the MV is 333. 3 minutes and 33 seconds into the MV for that insane choreo. It’s really well known how sensational that 333 was to not only army but to the general public as well, when that song was released in 2016.

There's a video of BTS best dance breaks, since the beginning they have been amazing practicing up to 12 hours per day. While others went partying BTS were in the studio and it shows. Also the dance practice for mic drop and Airplane pt2 are epic. Jimin in tight jeans and a black leather jacket

I'm 47, and the only thing I regret is that I didn't discover the glorious treasure that is BTS until just over a year ago.
Never had a "band crush" in my teens or 20s, saved it all for BTS.
Also, Jungkook is 17 in Dope, it's from June 2015, he turned 18 in september.
He's my bias - but I love them ALL dearly, and they keep coming for me HARD in practically every single song/video.
RMs eyes, authority and lyrics.
Jin's sense of humour, charm and confidence.
Suga's and his ethereal looks, his seriousness and his glimpses of goofiness, his raw, unapologetic honesty and his thoughtfullness.
J-hope's INSANE moves, his unique rap style and his smooth singing voice, his SMILE and his ENERGY and the "darker" Jack-persona.
Jimin - poetry in motion, the cutest little cinnamon roll who suddenly pops up and is HOT LIKE FIRE, bringing every part of the melody and lyrics alive with his body.
V - the quiet little alien who hides SO much chaos energy, and then he opens his mouth and you never know what's going to come out, soul or rap, the lowest barytone or the highest of tenors - and SO, SO PRETTY!
And finally Jungkook - the golden maknae, the kid who is good at EVERYTHING except focusing on stuff he isn't interested in (the ADHD energy is SO STRONG in him), the cutest little muscle bunny who does everything well right away - or works at it until he does. Loved this, thank you so much 💜💜 I became Army back in 2015 with I Need U, and Dope, and Yoongi was my original bias…But Jimin was chasing me from the start, and he is such a fast runner, he started catching me around Blood, Sweat, and Tears 😳😂😂🤷♂️Jimin is…breath-taking. That mix of beauty, elegance, strength - with a dollop of cuteness thrown in.
They are all beautiful, inside and out. They are all incredibly talented, in so many ways. They are all inspirational men, they have honour, integrity, decency, respect, kindness, tolerance - yet they aren’t pushovers, they aren’t scared to say “this far, and no further”. I greatly appreciate that you are almost angry at how deep these boys get you to fall for them. I get the struggle. They are the opposite of toxic masculinity and set such a great example. They have so many fun hype songs like Dope which also has a lot of social commentary that you’d need some Korean context to catch but it’s there. Enjoy your journey! Also cuss away, they BTS rapline in particular never shy away from it.
BTS taught us the standard of love to look for in a partner. It is not how someone looks it is how they treat us and make us feel. Their existence is proof that( although rare ) there are men who actually know what love is and show it.

*Dope was in 2015, part of their HYYH: part 1 (The most beautiful moment in life).* There are many iconic songs on this album, and it tends to be a lot of ARMY's favorite era (The Youth ERA). *I Need You was the first song they won a music show with, and it was on this album.* You should react to that one if you haven't already. It's an ICONIC Song, and first MV from their Bangtan Universe (BU).
*Fire was on their HYYH Compilation album in 2016, and it was the title track.* There are some really beautiful songs that came from the YOUTH Era. I love watching vloggers discover BTS and fall down the rabbit hole. XCeleste’s intro is a good first dib since it’s the shortest but quite comprehensive. Taylor’s is more recent and shows more of each member’s personality. Then there is Rise of Bangtan by Aneessa, a series of 21 episodes which was supposed to wrap up already, until BTS announced a new chapter in their career. Now waiting with bated breath what Aneessa will come up with in due course.
Whatever and however you decide to discover BTS, I’ll be watching with you. Btw, I’m 74.
I would also highly recommend The Most Beautiful Moment Life Goes On: A Story Of BTS (2022 Update) by Rice Squad. It's highly informative and fun, and starts by talking about how they came to BTS, then follows their musical journey.💜🤩

Great production course correction. Moving the reax chat above the video. Glances integrated and not distracting. Shot is lit perfectly. The EQ for VO/Source is spot on. Killer outfit. Observations are real and sense of humor, timing is next level. Alex, I appreciate you so much, I discovered them summer of 2022, through “My Universe”, never knew it was them with Coldplay, so I started looking them up on CZcams. And my live change from being a Bruce Springsteen fan for over 40 years and the rockband band LIVE to a BTS ARMY. Still love Bruce and LIVE but BTS brings me happiness every single day when I hear their music. Btw I am 60 years old, happily married but their music gets me dancing every day.

Alex, just started watching your reactions (& subbed!) and you are so fun! I love how each new batch of vids hits you & really looking forward to you seeing Blood, Sweat and Tears 🙃😆...and learning the stories of their characters in the BU so you understand some of the symbolism. Cpl of fun facts bout the Boy With Love vid - it refs Singing In The Rain throughout - the sofa, the lampost, Joonie's outfit & the whole "Gotta Dance" vibe etc and when you said he looked too serious..he was actually spoofing himself! There's a viral vid of him & the boys at an awards show, where he was cheering v enthusiastically for the act that had just performed (in the same way as here, with his hands cupped round his mouth, looking a bit agressive 😄) and he suddenly realised the camera was on him & it was showing him on the big screens! He looked really shocked & stopped suddenly - hence the serious look - and everybody fell about laughing, not only the rest of the guys but the girl group that was next to them & everyone around them. Poor Joonie, but it was hilarious - so replicating it here was just him being a bit tongue-in-cheek & self-deprecating , as always, bless him 😊

Good reaction, ty. Suga's palm trees orange tee is a fav of mine. =0p Jimin looks so bloody good. Umm, they don't hire backup dancers not really. The backup are their trainees who are training to debut in a group. If u watch more interviews BTS shares that they used to do this for older bands when they were trainees and they felt it was helpful to them. So they just paying it forward. A member of Stray Kids used to be their backup for 3 songs (hard ones). The Lab a dance crew from LA gets hired sometimes because their work ethic is the same as BTS. Plus, their choreographer Sierra has choreographed 4 BTS songs in the past. She is very gifted. This song actually is not about having fun and burning everything. An Army corrected me on this. BTS does not make songs that are this light. There is always a meaning weather its deep or its sweet. The dude all in black is their representation of their haters.

The moment at the beginning where Suga shakes the guy's hand and says "Bultaoreune" (which means "Burn") & the guy catches on fire is a tribute to the Pink Floyd album cover for "Wish you were here" not all ARMY's get that because a lot of them are younger.
P.S. Pls check out Taemin of Shinee/SuperM. U don;'t need to react if u don't want too. He is friends with Jimin. They have a live stage together too. Taemin is really beautiful and cute. he is a great dancer and Jimin looks up to him. I started looking into him and Taeyang(of Big Bang) because they are Jimin's idols. Taemin has a lot of solo's and I recently started checking him out more. Taemin is now my bias actually. 😅Jimin got so much inspo from him but he is still a different artist. It's so fascinating to see the similarities and differences. Taeyang I don't know much about but I hope to learn more. Jimin also looks up to him and I bet this Vibe collab is a dream come true. I hear Taeyang likes to show of his body in his songs and I have seen that he is shirtless in another older song. Eyes, Nose, Lips is by him and it's a good song i liked it. He got vocals and moves. Seeing these older legends and spotting little pieces of Jimin is so fun and cool. Move an old song by Taemin shows his dancing skills. Like they could be cousins! Their smiles are everything. =0}

I'm even older than you and I agree 100%. Five years ago, I watched a mash up video of Mic Drop with a song I loved (PopStars by K/DA) but didn't look into BTS. When 2023 rolled around, I was in a dark place, dealing with the death of my mom. Somehow the YT algorithm put GoGo in front of me, and soon I had BTS to make me smile and hum along to songs.
I really don't know how I would have made it thru the year without their music, their content, and just their love of ARMY.
Similar for me. In 2019 my Dad had been diagnosed with MSA (like parkinsons meets MND), and I was in a low place. Suddenly I heard a song on Radio one and went and investigated and the rest is history. They lioterally are my sfae place/space. I love everything about them and their personalities. @@88rampitup88
I've been an ARMY for 5 years now and have been collecting every album the guys come up with, sometimes buying multiple copies of the albums because they have different version but the thing is I never really play those CDs, not once. I listen to their songs on spotify and youtube prime. ARMYS buy the albums to support the guys, and the photocards and photobook of course 💜

As a 62 year old army the language sometimes does bother me but I choose to ignore the language to watch your content because I am enjoying your journey.
