NU completes sweep to end 65-year women's volleyball title drought | Sports Desk

- Earlier this week, the NU Lady Bulldogs got their turn to end an even longer spell and bagged their first UAAP women's volleyball crown after 65 seasons. Even more impressive for the blue and gold, they took their spot on the throne without losing a single match. They went 16-0 in the tournament, capping off their campaign with a straight sets win over the De La Salle Lady Spikers in game two of the finals.
NU is just the third team in the final four era to complete a sweep en route to women's volleyball title following La Salle in season 67 and the Ateneo Lady Eagles in season 77.

Very real ang reaction. No pretensions at all. Binabakla lang nila ang mga interviews. Pangmasa ang hatak at hindi sila mahirap magustuhan. Give them more years and dadami ang fans ng mga to. Ngayon pa ngalang medyo dumadami na.

If Lams and other setters can develop their fast sets, deadlier. The spikers even the middles are already quick, what more if the sets can be deceiving, and quicker. Polished and less error, they can beat anyone. 🥳 Solid fan here. Love this longer interview.

Me too, an NU fan since 2013 but my almater is UE.
I don't know how many times I said this but I really love the way they answered all the questions being asked and express their thoughts and opinions. All of them are powerful, witty, and smart inside and outside the court. Nierva and Lacsina still have two playing years respectively, Robles still have three playing years, and Bella, Alyssa, Lams, and Toring being rookies means they can really create DINASTY. Given na hindi pa nga ito ang peak nila dahil rookies pa sila. Not to mention that bunch of talented rookies for NU are set to conquer season 85 din, but I'm still hoping that these three amazing girls namely Nierva, Robles, and Lacsina will comeback because their maturity and ability to lead their team is PRICELESS. Kung hindi naman, I'm sure na kayang-kaya pa din ng NU. Congrats ladies!

THE GOLDEN ERA OF NU VOLLEYBALL TEAM, THE START OF THE 5 PEAT CHAMPIONS THIS UPCOMING YEARS!
This is going to be NU's league for a couple of years. Solomon, Belen, Lamina, Toring are all just getting started. Nierva, Lacsina and Robles are still eligible to play. They just swept the entire season and won the championship without dropping a set but believe it or not they still have room to improve. The ball is on the court of the other seven schools to catch up to the level of this NU team. Maybe the overall level of competition in the UAAP will be elevated as a result.
