The attack looks sharp but once again the defense is gone.
It won't improve under Maresca, we were shakey as hell in the Championship, our goals conceded record was MASSIVELY deceiving due to Championship level finishing from opponents, we made handfuls of massive defensive errors per game, proper calamity stuff where we tried to play ourselves out of the most stupid situations. Sadly I don't think Enzo will change, gone by christmas.

I like the idea of the coach but it will take time for our midfielders to get used to the press from the opposition and it will take more nasty games for them to take some passes for our attackers. I like the idea.
Chelsea is really just experiencing a tactical shift and i think they are getting better at it, when they get better and not panick under the high press, And also be more accurate in their direct passing. they will thrive.

From technical point of view we just need to practice the system repeatedly and most of the mistakes we committed today are just because we need more work on the ball and off the ball but it was really positive to honest. Good thing takes time. We will become better with time trust the process.

I saw more positives than negatives, us Chelsea fans are used to the dopamine hit of winning at all cost, now we want to build from scratch,it's going to take a while but I like what maresca is showing, we'll come good for sure.
Build from the scratch when we have changed managers 5 times in 2 years and every one comes in with his own idea and philosophy.
Poac started getting it right at the end of last season, the players understood his system well and things were getting better.
He was just going to build on it this season but for whatever reason, he was fired.
If Maresca doesn't do well, he would be gone and the team will never get to it's peak.
Every team has its identity when it comes to the style of play. Chelsea is not noted for the tiki taka style of play.
Play the game that suits you.
Every manager wants to play the Pep type of game but forget they don't have the material for that.

We are not press resistant on the ball and we cannot press effectively off the ball this is what i have understood after 4 games. I hope maresca also understands this he needs to fix so many things and also quickly fix them.

Lavia is not a starter. Nkunku was injured for months and months last season so he wasn't a starter. Gusto plays on the right side and is covering for cucurella for now. Sanchez wasn't the number 1 keeper last season. So no, we can both play this game
Guys We need to accept that it takes time for a new manager to make an impact at a club of this high level , It takes time for the players to adapt and play to the expectation of the gaffer. This will take time , He's only been in charge for 4 games , Give him time .Needless to say a few of our Starter players are not in the USA .They would be a perfect fit for Maresca's style. Trust!
