Located in Cantabria, in the north of Spain, its headquarters are in the monumental building of the ancient Great Seminary in Comillas. The Comillas Foundation is an international benchmark institution in the teaching, research and diffusion of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures. It's mission is to foster growth in the knowledge and extension of the Spanish language in the world and to promote the cooperation among the Spanish-speaking countries.
The academic activities of the Foundation are developed in CIESE-Comillas (The International Center for Higher Spanish Studies). This institution is affiliated with the University of Cantabria and its hallmarks are excellence, commitment to educational innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
