The song itself is co-written by American-Filipino/Puerto Rican mega-superstar Bruno Mars from Hawaii and now covered by Filipino artist Bugoy Drilon, how cool is that! The Philippines had a reggae/ska period back in the 90s and to this day there is still a small movement of reggae/ska bands and artists all over the country.

It was before my time, but I believe reggae has played an important role in Bugoy Drilon's artistic development. When he was a newly discovered teen-age singer on talent search shows, he got invited by Matisyahu in 2017 to open for one of his concerts. It was perhaps the first time he got a chance to travel abroad, and get international exposure. This cover song was actually a tribute to the war in Marawi City, Mindanao, Philippines. Marawi City is one of the Muslim Cities in PH. However, ISIS took the City back in 2017 (if i'm not mistaken). Hand salute to all the fallen heroes who fought and lost their lives to regain the City.
Rainbow is another great song to react to. It's on the Wish Bus.

When I was in Spain I see a lot of my people Filipino’s singing at the bars or in the street, then move to the US my family been here for awhile now, I studied high school here, and learned the word mimicking/ imitation, one of my high school mate mentioned that Filipino’s are good at mimicking 😂 when it comes to singing, I said this to her, we also sing our opm music which stands for Original Pilipino Music and when we sing in English it is just normal it is nothing new, we love western songs, karaoke 🎤 it is a normal past time break for most of us pilipino’s

It's normal for us to sing. Every household has a karaoke machine. Even in malls,Terminals,Restaurants,Markets,Ships,Bus and etc.There are karaoke machines everywhere. Singing is just a part of our daily lives. When we were just a child we were taught how to sing. When you go to the Philippines, wherever you go, you can see or find very good singers!! 🔥🇵🇭🎤
