We should never keep a pen inside any wallet,specially passport wallet. I consider this an unnecessary design flaw. In countries like India ,where we have extremely high temperatures in summers the pen may leak and it can destroy your documents,in worst case scenario your passport. So I recommend everyone to take care of this. Use pencil instead with cap.
