I am a factory trained Ferrari Mechanic who has just retired after fifty years, I have owned three 308 GT/4's including chassis 10400. Your car is 13 chassis' away from mine. My car is badged as a Ferrari from the factory. Your car would be too. The 308GT/4 badge next to the rear liscense plate has been added. The rear seat delete option, which I also have in my car, is rare. I have tried researching the number of cars with this option without any luck. The engine holds 9 quarts of oil, not 11. It appears someone has removed your U.S. bumpers and installed Euro spec bumpers.
Very interesting feedback, thanks!
looks like the front valance is from a later series II car aswell as the euro bumper transplant..
This car is actually all original, came from factory with euro bumpers and a racing engine, along with the seat delete and the one off gold color. This car is a true 1/1
@@gameboss9796 The color is not rare. I have seen this color a number of times. It is also a U.S. spec car meaning it could not have come into this country without the larger impact bumpers. Also, what about the engine makes it a racing engine? The one thing you missed that is extremely rare is the fact it is a rear seat delete option. By the way, the chain for the gas filler cap has been added by someone. Originally the car had a spring loaded stay to keep the cap from opening to far. and to hold it closed.
@@ronclark1287 I’ve talked to this guy, he said the car is a one of one, he has said that the car is the only one with that color on it, and I did mention the seat delete, and he said that from the factory it was a high performance racing engine, I can’t exactly remember about the euro bumpers but I think I recall him say that they came factory on it, I could be wrong as I talked to him a few days ago and have been busy
I like the color
Interesting, Euro bumpers but US side markers. Unusual livery!
Great looking machine in person too!
The mondial is the most underrated Ferrari
I suppose the values reflect that?
Normally, these are 4 seater.. 🤔
Note in this video czcams.com/video/gkDpwjBvO3k/video.html around 15:45 there's a note about this being a factory one-off w/o the rear seat.
@@alvinsautos7527 OK, right..Thanks !
Two seats factory option, I see two others cars
Shouldn’t this car as a1975 model, be labeled as a Dino, and not a Ferrari? What’s going on here?
check out the comment from @ronclark1287
😀
I purchased a similar GT/4,
March 2023. Coachella Valley.
Sat for over 30 years. Paid $11, 000.00. Complete servicing with new tires was about 4-5 months, $16,000.00.
The weather was rock hard.
Replaced all the interior w Connelly Leather, another $16,000.00 by the time it's done. Stripped to bare metal,
Got rid of a lifetime of the wrong color red paint. The car will be painted back to its original Nocciola Metalazzio
(Copper Metallic). Was a US delivery car from Griswold's in Berkeley. Ditched the hideous US spec heavy rubber black nasty bumpers for the original replacement Euro bumpers
(6lbs. vs. 45lbs each)...
GT/4's remarkable cars to drive just a beautiful little go-kart! 😃.
Glad to hear it's going back to its original color! Is the interior black?
