I don't think I would want my $5000 trap rolling away.
Yes
I keep thinking of Malcolm in the Middle and Dewey's hamster ball showing up in various places around the country.
That's why they're so rare. Almost all of them rolled away.
Aah easy come, easy go...
WHERE'D IT GO???
That mouse was reluctant to leave…. To him it is like a Bentley, Rolls, Bugatti and Lamborghini all rolled into one, compared to other mousetrap experiences. Truth.
That mouse will have memories and bragging rights for a lifetime. Even his distant descendants, generations away about a month from now will talk about it. Legend.
That mouse will be coming back looking for his Maybach with his new lady, desperate to impress her 🐀🐁🧀🚘
"This is a 1902 Mousemobile, and today I'm going to review its quirks and features, and see how it drives"
Doug DeMouseo
also detracts about 80 points because it doesn't have android auto :,D
That mouse trap is worth almost as much as my car
IKR 😆
IKR😂😂😂
Worth double mine
that mouse trap is worth exactly 22 times more than my car lmao
It's worth 5 of my cars lmfaoo
Big props for testing such a valuable mouse trap, Shawn!
It would be a shame to lose an expensive trap because some teenage mouse took it for a joyride.
Got drunk on tormented grain, crashed it into a horse trough.
Teenage mice, man. 😂
What a find for you! Thanks for showing it to us. It looked like the second mouse in the barn really wanted whatever you had in there for bait. Fun video.
Shawn, have you tried using common Marshmallows as mouse bait on a common Victor trap? Marshmallows seem to work pretty well for me. I do also use peanut butter, but I was getting tired of mice licking my traps clean while not getting caught. Marshmallows are gummy and sweet and they require a mouse to tug on them and the trigger a bit more, so it would seem that they're a good way of catching mice.
Why?
Use both.
The aroma of peanut butter is stronger to draw more victims.
I recommend using live traps so that you're not killing them needlessly. As for disposal, obviously, if you let them out near your house, they'll come back in. So the best option is to put the live trap in the garage with the mouse still in it and then wait until the mouse stops moving. It's much more humane than killing them in Victor traps.
@@benjurqunov Great Mouse trucks I love you
Try loosely wrapping a ball of string around it than smear some pb on the string. The rat or mouse teeth will get caught on the string when he eats the pb
My Hamster liked the spinning wheel. He would jam his food dish against it and climb on top then open the cage. Then crawl across the back of the couch set next to him and sit with us watching TV. He liked Cheezies.
Mr Phillips had a twisted sense of humour: A mouse trap that doesn’t stay where you left it. I bet he had some laughs when people came up with all sorts of explanations about ghosts moving their traps around.
That being said, I once caught a rat in a live catch trap (cage) with NO wheels, and that mofo managed to move that trap close on 3 meters (almost 10 feet in the King’s language) across our garage floor. So much so that it actually triggered our house alarm!
I'm always amazed at how much people will pay for something that is old, different, obsolete, or whatever. And ANY hobby, if pursued long enough, will lead to large expenditures. Enjoy your videos twice a week.
Good thing that mouse doesn't have internet access, if he knew how much that thing was worth, he'd roll off with it!
Did the mouse finally subscribe and leave a like? I did!
The mouse equivalent of a Bently sitting there with the keys in it
hey man congratz to the rare addition to the collection, as always enjoyed the content! keep it up!
WOW!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful trap. It appears that there was a lot of custom tooling required to make this item. Then likely hand soldered. A few more pictures from all sides would be nice. Especially these rare and unique ones. Maybe make some shorts with them. Shoot each side and post with a little comment on where you acquired that particular trap. Have enjoyed your channel for a long time.
My thought on why have one that roles would be so when you catch a mouse, it would role it out were you could see it had a mouse. It was kind of like the perlude to the hamster ball for your pet rodents.
3:23 That other mouse was like, “I’ll go get help! Don’t go anywhere!”
This is by far the coolest trap I've seen! I love the almost tractor silhouette it has.
I love your enthusiasm Shawn and I look forward to your new videos every week xx Jean from Scotland.
Wow
$5,000 dollars.
I would be afraid one of the mice or rats would take off with it!
Hope you are keeping that secure now!
As always Shawn, gloves Shawn, gloves. Protect yourself and your family
I so wanted to see the captured mouse take the other one for a ride.
In years from now there will be a special Shawn Woods room in the National Museum where all these wonderful and historic mouse traps are displayed.
I'd love to see your display of mouse traps: be it a slide show, a full virtual tour, or even if you showed us a handful of the most expensive, rarest or most unique traps
Looked like it was going to be a taxi mousetrap there for a minute.
I got some larger versions of this trap to catch pack rats, but they seem to have disappeared.
Don't ya just hate it when a mouse jumps into your trap, and drives off in it?
Wow
. I think I would have just shown off the trap.. don't know if I would have the guts to test it
Thank you for sharing this very special and rare mouse trap with us!
You should build a modern mouse mobile trap that would be sick
Image how fun it would have been as a little kid a hundred years ago to go to the general store and a couple of these are rolling around the rows of shelves.
This thing is pretty awesome looking, can't wait to watch
Mousetrap car 120yrs old... AMAZING! Gongrats Shawn, and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
A DIY rat version would be awesome so see!
This looks like a nice niche project for a plasma cutter...
Thank's for letting us see such beautiful historic artifacts.
Very cool ! yep , that is a Top Shelf Mouse Trap for sure. thank you Shawn , love your shows 😊
The rolling cage desing was to make it obvious through sound(rolling on concrete in warehouses) or movement that a trap neeeded to be emptied and reset. Imagine the potential effeciency increase in locations that could have hundreds of traps hidden just under heavy equipment... when a trap comes rolling out is when you check it lol
I love the videos from CZcams's resident mousetrap hoarder :P
Entertaining! Thank you for posting.
Very cool trap, awesome seeing it in action!
That's the best mouse trap I've ever seen. It will come and find you when it catches a mouse.
Yeah, but now its armoured.
@@arandomsteve2251 that's why these were banned.
Congratulations on such a cool addition to the collection!
Ty for the video! That was a very unique trap. Looked like something pulled off of an old car engine.
This is the solution to the rising prices in gasoline. We just need to put some mousemoviles underneath every vehicle and we’ll start saving more money.
Really cool idea & FUN to watch !!
"You pooping mouse" 😀 LOL!!
I have to give Shawn credit for keeping his composure, after the mouse pooped and then steered the $5,000 trap through it.
Wondering how you clean an expensive antique.
Christmas cam early for you, even though you had to pay for that rare trap. It must have been pretty exciting to find someone was selling their collection and it included this beauty!
"The Rarest and Most Valuable Antique Mouse Trap I have Ever Seen" also, the coolest design I have ever seen.
Can't believe he just poops allover the expensive contraption
Great video. It's nice to look at.
Please make a video tour of all your Mouse Traps
Great trap! Maybe a little bait in the wheel would motivate them to scoot around more. 😂
Reminds me of the mouse and the motorcycle book
"Calm down honey its an investment!"
That's great and fun! Ty
If rats ever evolve into the Skaven they got a headstart on the doom wheel 😂
Wow. This is a treat
He could open his own small mouse trap museum.
Very interesting! Just wondering if you have around 2.000 traps which do you consider the best?
Cheers
"Over 2000 mousetraps ..." imagine inheriting all of those. How much room does that even fill up?
Did you think of remaking the traps yourself? Even improving them in the process? I think there could be a market for such traps, as not a lot of people had them in their hands, nor seen a modern rendition of some interesting designs.
I think you need to open a mousetrap museum. Each exhibit will have your video next to it :)
Good work Crawdaddy.
The inventor made it mobile so that the trapped mouse doesn't get bored waiting for the trap owner to show up.
It seems like a good way to turn feral mice into pets.
Shawn, I would really like to see it after you clean it up. I also would be interested to see your display.
Instead of finding a dead mouse in your trap that's been there for days, this will roll around and alert you right away that you have caught a mouse. And it will scare away the other mice once it gets moving. And it might attract cats.
When a mouse is rolling on a vehicle cost more than my old Honda.
He be rolling rolling rolling rolling
The Poopmobile =)
Like you said, it's not a repeater, so a lot of un needed things going on. Someone should play with the idea a little and make one that is a multi catch.
LOL that mouse in the beginning
f l o a t e d away
Very cool trap
Tonka could make those popular again.
Cool find. Very high dollar, but will always have high worth because it's so rare. See you next time.
Very cool!
Thats a cool one for sure
Need to make a revised version, subwoofer, rims, electric motor and controls like the tiny mouse cars that scientist was experimenting with to see if mice like to drive (they do and it reduces stress and makes them happy)
Shawn when does the mouse trap museum open?
That was poop of joy and admiration!
what have you used as a bait ?
Quite the elaborite way to catch a single mouse. At least the mouse has something to occupy itself with until it is released....
great concept car ever :3
Once again, we are robbed of watching a mouse buffet. Lol
I'm beyond surprised that a mouse trap could be worth so much money.
TY
You need a mousetrap that rolls to notice you caught one and so they don't just die and start stinking. Lol
I read through the patent and it claims this to be a "toy powered by a live animal".
I saw several of these traps years ago in the basement of a house I was renting, didn't realize they were so old or expensive. Wonder if they're still there.
Heist of the century
Very cool...
I guess that would be the original bait car
LOL 🤣🤣🤣
Mr. Jingles 'Nightmare.
Start a museum of mouse traps
You should do a video where you rank all of your mouse traps from best to worst
So glad this trap didn't get nabbed by a pack rat!
Amazing!
Nice trap, the weels sound call you to rescue the rat maybe.
Awesome!
