Sara just wants a level 436 dressage/barrel mustang stallion thatâs 16.35 hands preferably under 2k, to be honest I donât see whatâs so hard about that đ€·đ»ââïžđ

Um it is very hard .. dressage AND barrel racing horses are pretty hard to find but u can still find them and also itâs a mustang?! Pretty Harold u ask me bc barrel racing and dressage are completely different things on horseback. So if u ask me itâs is very very hard it find that kinda horse..

Me: âI was thinking more along the lines of 14.-1 but ok I guessâ
@A Bunny Called Pebbles yea right
Yeah. Not much bigger than 15.2 for me. I'm a shorty that's also a stiff arse, I struggle to on them. đ€Ł that's with a mounting block.. Luckily my youngster seems to have stopped at 15hh.. He's 5 now so shouldn't grow too much more. He's been a gem 90% of the time. I bought him last year unbacked so did that the end of last year, he got 63% in his first dressage test a few months ago so he's coming along well.. I'm not planning on jumping him for a few years yet. I want to be sure his body has fully developed before that, it drives me mental when I see youngsters being jumped.. There was an absolutely stunning gypsy cob palomino gelding (which is what I was looking for) but hewas only 3 and had already done cross country jumps.. I do not wish to buy a horse that's ready for the knackers yard by age 10.. So I'll take my time, assuming he remains healthy I'll have another 25-30+ years with him so I'm in no rush. đ€Ł
What do the numbers mean?
Theyâre talking about how many âhandsâ high a horse is, aka how tall a horse is :)
@@ellac2187 they are also four inches each so .7 is impossible, the highest a decimal can go in hands is .49...
My dream horse:
-Rocky Mountain Horse
-Chocolate Palomino
-Mare
-Eventer
-14.3 Hands
-6-12 years old

You have excellent taste! đâ€ïž
Yeah
As a person who owns four Rockies, they are amazing horses! However, they are not really eventing horses because they're gaited. I jump two of them, but it isn't really how He designed them. We actually have a palomino (not chocolate) for sale who does low-level jumping right now, though! She's 15hh and 12 years old.
Well, I guess thatâs why itâs a dream horse! đ The pony I used to ride is a chocolate palomino (sheâs in my profile pic) and I fell in love with the color. I did some research and found that the color was a trademark of Rockies, then that they were known to jump pretty well. I have only jumped 2.5 feet and have never done cross country, but believe me itâs me biggest dream. But Iâm only 13, so I guess I have time.
@@kaelynmcloughlin5673 Rockies have really never been known for their jumping since it is very unnatural, but some of them are pretty good at low level jumping. Other than the eventing point, the rest of your dream horse is quite achievable (and low level eventing IS possible on a Rocky, but they are not naturally good at it and you have to find a judge who is gaited-horse-friendly. Otherwise, they'll dock you for not trotting). Rockies are great at a number of other sports, however: I play Mounted Games on my bay mare (in my profile pic), she jumps three feet (rarely, since it causes stress on her legs), we've done competitive trail competitions, and I have friends who have done everything from trick riding to polo to gaited dressage on them. They're also incredible trail horses and the sweetest, kindest breed of horse I've ever met.
How exciting for Sarah, she seems very well informed, my horse totally approves, she is also a Chica linda
@âą Equestrian Edits âą omg I watch your videos! Hiii

This was too good, as per usual.
I got really lucky and I got a horse for $250 from a rescue. I was 16 and he was about 8 months old when I got him and he was born at the rescue. He is almost 2 1/2 years old now and is proving to be very athletic and eager to please. He is my first horse but I have been an apprentice trainer for over four years before I got him and he is by far the easiest horse I have ever worked with. Since I was so young the rescue didnt believe I had any skill with untrained horses but I was thankfully able to prove them wrong when I got a chance to work with him before I adopted him. He is my pride and joy and I have met every condition my parents have set for me to have him so I have paid every cent it takes to take care of him and trained him myself. I dont plan on winning any shows with him but the sense of accomplishment of raising and training him myself fills me with indescribable joy
That's wonderful. How is he doing now? (I know you posted this comment two years ago) :)

I don't think you are likely to find a 4 year old flea bitten grey, they become that colour as they age and the black tail will be long gone by then. Our pony was born black then he became dapple grey with a black mane and tail and black legs like a little rocking horse. Everything faded out and he ended up as a flea bitten grey with a pure white mane and tail and only faint grey markings on his knees and hocks.

The barrel racing part was so interesting to me. My first exposure to that activity was in a Nancy Drew game that I played as a kid, and before you're allowed to ride your horse in that game, you have to do the barrel racing pattern in under 10 seconds, and now I just... don't think the ranch hand wanted Nancy and her friends to have fun trail riding at all xD
