Dude this is so beautiful. You've become a hell of a composer. I also love that I can still subtly hear the Opeth influence in your writing despite the obvious differences.
Best song of album
I love how you joined some new mates and gave a fresh new air to your sound, without losing your identity. Cheers!

Как всегда...Потрясающая мелодичность!! Respect from Siberia!!!
❤
Как всегда очень красиво! 😊❤️👍
For the last three years I have been listening to Nick Johnston several times a week, a regular trip to “Johnston World “ on my 90 minute commute to London. Wide Eyes In The Dark took me a while to get into, which is actually a good thing, so when I first played Young Language and I didn’t get it, I didn’t worry as I knew Nick was on point, and it was me that needed to tune into his wavelength, and a few spins later it all fell into place! A Cure Promised is pure magic and now I have Young Language…. please Nick can you get them available in Hi-Res on Qobuz ;-) and keep up the great work!
I listened several Times to the "wide eyes in the dark" album using psychedelics. It made me trip into something i cant even describe. Its sculpture, architecture and so much more than just music. Worlds within worlds within worlds infinitely.
Thanks Nick
Hey, Nick. Never stop writing man. Edit: as a man married to an Asian woman, I recognize the use of houseplants as a dead giveaway 😂.
👊👊
I hope they release the T style in the Diamond series.

Really nice!
Get sort of Steven Wilson/Guthrie vibes with this one
Good
Pensive or not Nick always delivers great music anyways ;D
Very nice!
Gives some Porcupine Tree vibes)
One of the best guitar player in the world! Your playing have so much soul and feeling!
Did you copy/paste that comment from any of thousands of other guitarists' videos? Seriously, almost every CZcams video featuring a somewhat competent guitarist features that exact comment. You forget to include, though, the observation that this guy is unique in that respect: That he's the ONLY player in the world who possesses such qualities.
Fuck...people are generally so ignorant, shallow and stupid it makes me sick.
@@jankafka7330 Dang dude. Maybe take a break from the internet and get some help.
Has a feel like Chris Cornell's Euphoria Morning
Εισαι ωραιος ρε Νικολα...
I first met your music when you released Remarkably Human, ever since i've been hooked with your job, trying to get people into your music oe way or another (Discussions, Posts, Reviews, Videos), however, the only album i had a bit of trouble getting into was "Wide Eyes in The Dark", for some reason it's my least listened album, although it's great i prefer "Young Language" by a long shot.
Also, Please Nick! Make a collaboration with Arjen Anthony Lucassen (fron Ayreon/Star One), the kind of music you two would create would be, simply put, otherworldly!
I think Wide Eyes In The Dark is by a million miles his best album, A Cure Promised is utterly incredible when Benny Grebs drums kick in, and the unhurried nature of the track really draws me in. Tracks Gemini, The Old Hunger and Wide Eyes In The Dark are fab, and In The Mouth Of The Wolf is amazing with its build up…. I’ve somehow managed to play the album 2 -3 times a week since it was released. Many of Nicks fan base struggled with Wide Eyes In The Dark but as a 50 year old music lover, I find the album sublime…. I can’t comment without a recommendation of my own. 2 albums by a new UK band The Paradox Twin, The Importance of Mr Bedlam and Silence From Signals, utterly incredible albums 10/10 . JP
👍
for me, the best part of the entire album is in between 3:27 and 3:43
Thats a lovely acoustic. I wonder what it is
I can't poop
in strange places
I can only poop in my home
It's as though
I'm watched by
strange faces
It's why I never roam
Как-то "муза мелодий" покинула Ника в последнее время, но музы аккомпанемента и аранжировки пока ещё с ним:)
