- This demo reel from Tuesday Productions was sent to stations on 1/4" reel-to-reel tape, as a way of drumming up business. You will no doubt recognize some it as it was a used by any number of stations in the late 1970s.
This transfer was made from the original 1/4" tape, captured at 44.1/16 bit with no filtering, EQ, noise reduction, compression, or other monkey business. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
WRAL-5 Raleigh NC used this in the late 70's. The one and only 5!
Very nice to hear this demo for News People! A very nice music package for TV news! I just don't understand the news music used today on most newscasts. Steven Arnold seems like a nice guy, but I liked his old music he retired. And the other music companies today don't understand what makes good music anymore either.
Oh man! I used that last news theme I got from the composer! I had no idea it was from this package! My newscast on public access lasted over 6 years. It was called News View.
WESH in Orlando used News People in the late 70s according to the NMSA. I've not yet seen/heard a NewsCenter2 open with this theme music though.
WEEK TV 25 in Peoria used this in the 70s, as heard here.
I remember this on KKTV CBS 11 in my hometown of Colorado Springs, CO from 1983 until 1985. This was when KKTV was in between uses of Hello News by Frank Gari. The first go-round for hello news was from 1981 until 1983. Then News People of course from 1983 until 1985. Then back to Hello News form 1985 until 1988.
Also used by KETV 7 Omaha in the 70s and WIS 10 Columbia, S.C.
News People makes me think of We Light Up the Bay by Klein& commissioned by CBS5 KPIX from 1977-81
I have a couple of those -- they're on my list of things to upload ...
@@VPR2B you got some Klein& packages too?
@@ScoopNemeth No, just a couple of the finished KPIX "We Light Up The Bay" promos.
3:03 - WHNT Television-"The News Station"-presents _Action News 19,_ with the "News People": Tom Kennemer and Missy Ming... meteorologist H.D. Bagley... and Steve Johnson with the sports.
Did any station actually use the entertainment portion of this package? I've never heard it anywhere.
