  • The Kuvings EVO820 is a high-performance whole fruit juicer with some unique features for optimal juicing. Like other models in the Kuvings range, it sports a wide feed chute design, allowing for ingredients to be juiced with minimal preparation. However, additionally to the standard wide feed design the EVO820 also has a flip top function for easier and safer use.

I enjoy your reviews immensely. That said, you think every juicer you review is "possibly the best". It leaves me confused and wanting to buy like 20 juicers.

at 3:03 You say "the coarse screen". That screen is actually the Smoothie Screen as evidenced by the rubber plug blocking where the pulp discharges.

Hi, when juicing citrus fruits (e.g. lemons), is it required to peel them?

    • @superXfairXgirl

You must peel oranges, but not other citrus fruits. However, not peeling them leaves a bitter aftertaste in the juice. But leaving the peel is consider healthier by some. Except for oranges. Always peel oranges.
I would recommand you to peel any citrus fruit that is not organic, and if you do not peel them, wash them before.

What's the difference between EVO 820 or B 1700? Which is better??

as a user of this new model and a previous B6000 model, I have to say the child-safe flip gate lid is really annoying - you cannot throw in a pear or a longer & wider item (e.g. long leaf - like romaine lettuce). Once the flip gate is closed, the small whole is just too small to throw in some ingredients that could be easily thrown in in the previous models. I would prefer a hole without the freaking child-safe flip! It's a design flaw.

In EU and USA, all the juicers are the regulated products, to prevent injury to hands/fingers of adult and children. It is a requirement by law to add safety features for those juicers with wide-mouth chute. it is a good idea to remove the flip-lid but not sure will void the warranty and claims against injury.

@@michaellim7002 looks like B6000 model did not care about regulations or these are very recent (which is not the case I guess). Let's stick to the facts and call it a design flaw unless you are able to point out some concrete regulations (btw. how about blenders then? - you can cut a child in pieces, and they're still being sold everywhere).

Just rip off the child-safe gate, seems quite obvious ;)
