- There's nothing in fishing I enjoy more than going into an area I've never fished before and seeing what I can find. I did that this week, and the results were just fantastic.

As ALWAYS, a wonderful video of our marsh with great variety of tactics, techniques and ideas. This season has seen lots of small reds… as Tony the Tiger would say, “They’re Grrrreat!!!”
another killer video man
Awesome!!
👍😎✌
Thank you, Todd.
Cold days are the best days. Makes the fish hop a little bit more
I went to the bayou lacombe Marsh on the same day and the bass were the exact same way.
Thanks
I like that dearhgrip hat you're wearing. I'm gonna have to get me one
How do you navigate back in Marsh country? Do you also have backups navigation in New Marsh places?
I've got a satellite card for my GPS
I enjoy watching your videos - am from New Orleans.. I am new to Kayak fishing. Where is this area that you were fishing? where did you launch from? Thanks
Had to google "Gaspergou" -- I ain't ever heard of that before. Funny name 😂
I saw you mention using a satellite card for your GPS for navigating the marsh. Where could I find something like that? I’m running a humminbird helix unit and would love to have some satellite card for my unit as well.

Rod action?
Are you on Big Branch?
Where is this at?
Big old gizzard Shad, we cut those big ones up use them fishing for blue cats here in north Texas. We call em Lake steak, everything eats it!
I can see why blue cats like them. Smelled like a$$
My mom loved those gaspergoo and I can say she new how to make them taste good but I don’t know her recipe
She's a far more talented chef than I
Awesome vid. Where did you get that hat?

@@LS-lu1ii these guys are not going to tell you their fishing spots, they are very protective of where they catch fish, you really shouldn’t ask.
Watching guys reel in fish isn’t teaching people anything worth the time
@@jerrys3826 it’s entertainment

Wait a minute, were you implying that red fish are making a comeback, and the population is recovering on its own? Without the government altering the limits? You mean to tell me that nature can recover all on it's own. No way. That's crazy thinking.
In a dynamic system, fish populations ebb and flow based on too many factors to enumerate, but certainly one of them is harvest. Anecdotal reports combined with both fisheries-dependent and fisheries-independent data indicate year-classes are almost entirely missing. Was that due to overharvest, environmental factors, or something else? At this point, it's impossible to say, but federal law requires Louisiana to manage redfish at a 30% escapement rate, and right now, we're far below that, so by law, the regulations HAVE to change, or the feds will step in and change them for us.
@@MarshManMasson I hear what you are saying, but look to the source of the measurement. It is skewed and I would bet you a shiny nickel, agendas are in play. But hey, I only went through LSUs Wildlife and fisheries courses in the 90s so things have probably changed .
People need to stop strictly keeping only 16-20” redfish as if a 25” is no good
@@steele5048 agreed
@@steele504825” is no good because when they are that big and thick they will most likely have worms and in my opinion and most people, the smaller ones are better
