Inclusivity and diversity are such big issues in outdoor spaces, and I appreciate that TAXA didn't shy away from discussing this. I'm a full-time RVer, and I'm usually the only Black traveler at camp, so I can relate to his story. I didn't have anyone to teach me though and never went to summer camps. I had to teach myself.

Great backstory! Thanks for sharing your history. Starting to shop for camping gear and this aligns with my wants/needs beautifully. I'm pretty much a minimalist, and this gives you everything you need and nothing you don't! Again, thanks for sharing.

I have worked in summer sleepaway camps for inner city kids, who never experienced the "outdoors" life. I have seen the transformation of those children from the first day at camp and when it's time to go home. The kids with the biggest chip on their shoulder on the first day at camp, complaining they don't want to be there, are the first ones crying because they don't want to leave. Transformative. I love the outdoors!

I often (at least in these times) need to remind myself that seeing these crowded camp areas, hikes and rec sites isnt a bad thing. I would often complained about crowded malls and shopping areas, watching people spend there days on endless gluttony and materialism. Companies like Taxa with the Wholly Bear have it possible for everyday people, students, young couples and professionals alike to enjoy what we have left. I dont complain about how busy it is every summer or even winter, just happy people are discovering something more and seeing what matters. Great video!

Nice to hear his story, but it would have been nice to see a trailer walkaround.

As I see the images in this video, I am still shocked from my stay in Austin and the space that LARGE PICK UP TRUCKS AND MASSIVE 4x4 take in this city against the backdrop of pedestrians and active transport users. Austin could do so much better on that front, to stay in a 5 star Hotel and hear massive pick ups roar downtown Austin with modified mufflers is a shame. I hope outdoor enthusiasts are mindful of this when driving in urban environments and even when the make use of their powerful engines on public land... Everytime a large SUV takes over a community, it is to the lose of family's ability to move securely on bikes in their neighborhoods... THAT is also a very important part of inclusion. The latest Cadillac, GM, Ford and Toyota marketing trends is to pretend massive trucks with gigantic tires are the safest way to pick up a capuccino in downtown areas... THey have included minorities and woman in all their commercials for 100K zero vision massive front grills commercial. Another strategy to move out pedestrians from human size streets.
