Yet another channel featuring the one, the only, the imitable: Mr. Chris Liepe! His approach works really well if you "get out of your own way" (which is the whole secret to what he does).

This is awesome, i usually just hum a bit and move my voice around to random places, mainly just to relax with it. Your approach just makes so much sense to me... thank you :-)

Awesome video & great collab! I think my favorite vocal warm up was once with Annihilator, before a show! I also learned how to properly warm up for headbanging that day!

Proper head banging can be also very useful for warming up :) ... Keeps everything loose :) !!

Love it man ! I like your unconventional approach to freeing ourselves to go into a creative recording session. Very good musical approach. With practice, I can see (ear!) that it gone become a standard in good record inspiration... Thank you very much Chris, for sharing.

I never sing but am in the middie of doing it for a track right now, using a Lewitt LCT-440 Pure. Barely got started and I find this video on the CZcams home page within an hour of it being out. Thanks

It's actually close to some kinds of meditation where we recite or sing. We empty our head from thoughts and everything else while focusing on the mere sound of our voice. Very effective and fun too.
All learning should be fun like this !! Thanks for sharing :-)

VERRRY interesting, thank you chris (und danke an euch Lewitts!). i by no means am a singer but an audio engineer and sometimes have to step in as a voice over "talent", lol. these excercises are a good way to prepare the voice for the task at hand.
and on the point of sounding silly: so what! you've got the whole rest of the day to act like you're serious : )

you 're not getting it through these exercises... always they won't do any harm to your voice... Get a proper vocal teacher. Noone could tell you without hearing these issues... but there are techniques, definitely. easy techniques, but through an appropriate teaching
