I'm a from a potato farming family in Northern Maine .. this is a older style harvest.. ones we run now is like million dollars set up and it's all done from in the can along with the tractors that dig them

I'm picking potatoes by hand right now after using a middle buster to dig them up. My back is killing me, so jealous of your potato picker. Great video, you and your family work hard and deserve the blessings you have.

Joel bonking his head with the shield can be another clip for your blooper reel! I saw something neat at a local Amish farm recently. They had pre-stacked some of stackers and were selling them by the pile. I was like, why didn't I ever do that when my veggie farm was open lol?! Have you tried the new pumpkin called Grizzly? It is a smallish warty one like Goblin or Knucklehead, but tan color like a New England Cheddar. I like that one a lot. Hopefully next year the deer and weather cooperate more for you and you have a better crop of novelty squash and pumpkins. That was always one of my favorite things was picking all of that stuff and making beautiful fall displays with them, straw bales, corn stalks, mums, etc.

I worked on a potato combine like that back in the 70's when I lived in Idaho. We would haul them to potato cellars to store before selling...
I love red beets so much that I made borscht after seeing this video.

Used to go potato picking with my mum as a child. The farmer would collect the mum's in a lorry and bring us home at the end of the day. I am in the UK, it used to be fun playing at the edge of the field whilst our mum's picked spuds.
I love harvesting vegetables in the garden.
The red beat leaves make an excellent warm salad. You boil them, strain them, douse them with olive oil and lemon juice, a pinch of salt and optional very thinly sliced garlic.

Y’all should sale the Cajun trinity in one container 1cup bell pepper/1cup Vidalia onion/ 1cup celery- it sells like crazy here in the south Diced of course used in gumbos, stews, etc

In Sweden, we pickle redbeets. And also makes a very tasty creamy beetroot salad that everyone loves.
Those hot cherry peppers are really pretty hanging on the vine. Callie is so cute. She will be helping you narrate soon. 😃😃😃
I love the greens part of the beets, most people don’t know to eat them as well. I sauté them like spinach with a little olive oil and minced garlic. Delicious!
I've got a bush of cherry peppers growing in one of my hydroponic units. I'm really getting spoiled having those around. They're so tasty when they're fresh, and they're great in everything. I've put them in burgers and omelets and sprinkled on salads and sandwiches. So yummy -- floral and not too hot, i. e. maybe 2/3 of the heat of a jalapeno.
So I found you guys a couple weeks ago and have been watching older videos…I can’t believe your prices!! How do you make money! Everything is soooo cheap! But pumpkins I think shocked me the most! We pick 5 normal size pumpkins and it costs $80! And you were like our most expensive is $5 unless it’s the crazy big pumpkins 🤯🤯 but all your prices are crazy! Even before the prices sky rocked! And I’m buying from local farmers! Grocery store is way more! Although local strawberries were about $6-7 a quart

Evening Andrew, I have been buying bottled beetroot!! I have decided as it is such a healthy vegetable, I am going back to buy fresh beets, cooking them myself and making my own pickled beetroot for our salad, I heard on the most important veggies for the arteries are beets, so I have been enjoying eating them from a bought jar, but no more. Home made is better and you get better value for your money. Our peppers, red or green have become so very expensive - red has always been more pricy then the greens, yellows and oranges. I can assure you they are not the size that you people grow :( but it is better than nothing. It is a real treat to see all the harvesting and the packing into the cold room. Enjoy and be happy.
