Yesterday we had some huge news regarding the Winnipeg Jets, and how forward Blake Wheeler, captain of the team for six years, would be stripped of that title.

Jets just haven't been the same since Byfuglien left
Wheeler has been one of my favorite players since the Jets returned but I do think it was time for change. His on ice performance has always been consistent but the one thing that upsets me about him is how he interacts with the media. They can ask dumb questions sometimes but as the leader he's gotta keep his cool. As for the Laine situation nobody knows the facts, it's all speculation and hearsay. Not one player from the team has openly come out and said that him and Scheifele bullied Laine. Blake saying he could've handled things better isn't an admission of him bullying Laine. It's gotta be somewhere in the middle, Laine could be lazy at times and there is video evidence of coaches and teammates telling him to skate and not just stand around waiting for a pass. I think guys were just trying to hold him accountable.
It will be tough for the team going forward. No other teams will want the toxic guys except for a temp cup run with the Jets retaining salary. Free agents won't want to go there. Gonna have to buy Wheeler out.
This is a good move for the Jets. Too many players have spoken up about his "leadership". Laine, Hayes, Stastny, Big Buff are some examples of casualties of his attitude. Dubois is not wanting to stick around because of Scheif (amongst his deaire to be a Hab). Schief has attitude problems. Maurice let them do what they wanted. Made everyone uncomfortable. Good move

By trade deadline if jets arnt doing good I can see selling off whole team except hellebuyck,Connor,Ehlers,Lowry, Morrissey and prospects

Guys like Wheeler,Stanley, Schmidt,Dubois, Scheifele, Pionk,Dillion, demelo, Harkens, Gagner, Appleton, Barron, Kovacevic all on block
So of your exceptions are the issues. I’d put money on it one of those guys the reporter was referring to is hellebuyck. I’ve seen him a few times n he’s not a pleasant person. Kyle Conner has been rubbed off on by schief also. They needed a change but wheeler just fell on the sword.
You needs to talk about Owen Beck this guy could start the season with Montreal and he will surprise everyone
This is great news to me as I got very bad vibes from Wheeler being a Jets fan,
for his leadership role as Captain. Well Rick Bowness is the new boss in town,
and Wheeler and Scheifele won't be running the team anymore, where they just
stepped all over Maurice. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Bowness can
do with this talented hockey club, that has underacheived. I've being saying for
the last 2 years, first step to fix this club, is get rid of Wheeler, and because they
couldn't trade him, they did the next best thing for now. I believe he was the cancer
in the dressing room, so I hope to see a new invigorated team. I'm sure Wheeler
won't be a problem in his "new role" and he'll be a good 2nd line player the Jets
can use, because he's still pretty good, just not worth the $ 8 mil he gets.

Big Buff kept Wheeler and Schief in check. After he left they ran the team. Maurice said he didn't enter the locker room much at all, let them run things. Wheeler has anger issues, even fist fights with teammates in practice.(Ben Chiarot, who left soon after.) Terrible in media scrums after games. Not sure this will change much, they will still be on the team, in the dressing room. The Jets have the talent to win it all, curious to see if and when they can do it. Schief needs to learn to play defense, was a -17 last season.

not looking good for Winnipeg, wonder if the are sellers at the deadline seeing as the next draft is supposed to be great. If they are out of a playoff picture (which seems very possible) they might end up trading alot of key guys at the deadline.

Lego, buddy, we can tell you're stretching the videos out. How more obvious can it be that you hit the exact 10 min mark. I like your content dude but there's so much fluff and filler. You just ramble onto things that have no relevance or just keep repeating yourself. I know it's a job but you're gonna kill your growth way more trying to game the algorithm so blatantly. Just make the videos tighter or make less videos so there's more to talk about. The last minute to two minutes of the video was brutal. Wheeler is an aging old frog who will never win in hockey. The Jets should get rid of him and Sheiffle and rebuild.
