I am a science teacher in the USA. This summer, I attended a training about mapping the ocean. The other day, a beautiful, thick book about the ocean arrived at my school for me. I randomly flipped to a pageâŠthat happened to be about Svalbard and Beluga whales.

I'm in bed most days this year due to an auto immune disease. Thank you for your content. I was surprised today when the whales footage brought me to tears. My year has been very difficult and I'm always home. But the beauty you share helps. It brings me somewhere else, while my reality has been quite painful. Thank you!

Definitely can relate to how good it feels to be getting ready in the morning when you haven't had a job for a while. I was unemployed for a long time during the pandemic, and the feeling of finally being able to get up early and get ready for work was soo good.

After following you for a couple of years now (and binging your back catalogue) Autumn is my favourite season that you film on Svalbard. Those orange and sage hues! Just stunning! Looking forward to this yearâs Fall vids. đ§Ą
Iâm a stay at home writer, content creator too and itâs lonely for sure. I think most people wish they could be independent from an outside job, but we forget what we have had to give up, and thatâs the person to person connection which is really important- something i didnât realize until I didnât have it any longer. Nice to see youâre working a bit now! đ
I am a loyal follower who has never actually written a message to you. now I thought it was really time! you have taken me to a real autumn atmosphere with this video. the difference here is that we have trees that change color, but with you it is the sun and the mountains that bring that warm glow. there was also peace to be found in your video. finally, the season is over, now on to a new season. autumn!! I love the orange sunlight. It must feel really surreal to be surrounded by that light.
How quickly it gets darker there is really interesting. Here the light/dark changes by about an hour per month, not per day. Amazing!

Fall is my absolute Favorite season, love the golden highlights of the sun and how the mornings and evenings are cooler. How the fog rolls in and of course the yellows, burnt oranges and reds of the leaves. I am so glad Svalbard has the beauty of fall. Gorgeous!

Fall/Autumn is my favorite season! It's amazing to think where I live that a week and a half ago we had the hottest day of the year at 116F and all this week has been in the 80s. I've been able to have doors and windows open and smell the fresh air! I can't get too comfortable with it though, because it will get really hot again at least one last time. Thanks for sharing the whales and sunsets!!
I love the pace of your videos, Cecilia. How you take the time on your deck to talk about the colors of the season while showing footage of the landscape. Itâs things like this that make your videos beautiful ant truly relaxing to watch.

11:33 I worked in an office where the temperature could be freezing in the summer due to the air conditioning. It was 16-17C at the most, so we'd wear turtlenecks, sweater vests or jackets when it was scorching hot outside !
...and sometimes it was the reverse during the winter. I'd have my usual warm winter ensemble of a knit turtleneck under a winter blazer or a V-neck sweater vest and I'd be half fainting half an hour later due to heat exhaustion !
