I am afraid that if I step foot off the plane, one more tourist from the West, with my sunscreen and plastic water bottle in hand, that the island will break, will shake and erupt and even sink and drift into the sea and be lost to time. So much of the "natural" world seems to well trod and known by the massive wave of tourist=locusts. That is what happened to Atlantis after all.
Maybe it is better to be as the cicada, and only emerge from the ground every 17 years to fill the air with the buzz of live and leave just as quickly for the forest to return to it's quiet and unmolested "natural" existance?
