"Hello Again" is pretty good too..
The Cars are on of the best bands to come out of the late 70's/early 80's.
Such a great song from the Cars!🚗🚘❤ Haven’t heard this song in years! Thanks guys, glad you like it!!❤❤
Some other CARS songs are:
My Best Friend's Girl
Shake It Up
Drive
The background singing sound a bit like Def Leppard because this album was produced by Mutt Lange - who also produced Def Leppard's High 'n' Dry, Pyromania and Hysteria albums. He has a very distinctive production style. The Cars album 'Magic' is off is Heartbeat City - one of my desert island discs. Love it.
The reason there's a resemblance to def leppard is because they had the same producer on this album. John "Mutt" Lange has a signature sound in his production.
Elliott Easton play short solo but everyone of them were just great. He is underrated guitarist his solo’s are just memorable.
This was out exactly 40 years ago. It was a perfect summer anthem. I was only 15, and we were building a tree fort, that we camped in most of that summer. This song was all over the radio, and we had our boomboxes blastin it
Ric Ocasek (guitarist, songwriter) sings lead here, also on "You Might Think" and "You're All I've Got Tonight" among others. Benjamin Orr (the bassist) sang lead on "Just What I Needed" and on the band's biggest hit, "Drive." Neither one still with us.
What a jam!!
This band had two lead singers.
All the cool "sci-fi" sounds you're hearing is being generated by the keyboard player Greg Hawkes (who's easily one of the best players from the 80's)
The CARS were a very popular band in the ‘80’s with a ton of radio airplay and their music videos were played on MTV constantly with their quirky and fun unique styles. The band has two lead singers for different songs. Ric Ocasek is singing in this video and your first video of the CARS the singer was the bass player Benjamin Orr. The CARS were the leaders in “New Wave Rock “ music when they came out in 1978 and then in the ‘80’s were a very popular and more commercial “ Pop” music band. All their albums were great and I still listen to them today !
Let's Go
The vocalist is Ric Okasec the bands principal songwriter and he is walking on water and you are right he isn't the lamb of God
Love the bass!
Ugh such a great songggg!
Elliot Easton is one of the GREAT guitarists! He didn't get to solo too much for the group.
Before there was Rush there was Yes. Their best albums by most Yes fans are 'The Yes Album', 'Fragile', and 'Close to the Edge'. Listen to "Roundabout" from 'Fragile' first, then "Close to the Edge"(song) from 'Close to the Edge'(album). Just about everything else from these albums are worth a listen. (Studio versions).
This was filmed in Paris Hiltons backyard. She was like 3yrs old but still pretty interesting.
What a dope song!
So good!!
Great song and my favorite Cars album, even though the singer used to scare me. 😂 I never noticed the Def Leppard similarity before but considering who the producer is, it makes sense.
You boys should get into some SAGA. Canadian, early to miss 80's. Def progressive Rock MTV stuff. But very talented. "On the loose" should be first. "Times up" "Wind him up" those are a good start. I saw them live with Billy Squire as the headliner. At the BJCC(BIRMINGHAM JEFFERSON CIVIC CENTER) big arena over 19k when I saw Journey/ Bryan Adams. 1983
Also The Flyer & Cat Walk.
Th3 video is a title odd but song is great
So good🎉
This video was filmed at Paris Hilton’s family’s estate.
Do you guys ever disagree on if a song is playlist worthy?
This song was played every 5 minutes. That’s Ric….. he was a weird bird in more ways than one 🙄
In the several videos I've watched of yours, every time you say you're gonna include another reaction of yours in the video, they're never there, including in this one.
You guys should listen to The Bee Gees
Kpop react pls
So good!
