Dibba Rotti is a popular snack made in many homes in Andhra Pradesh. Dibba literally means fat or thick and rotti means bread. So dibba rotti is a thick bread made using urad dal and rice-based batter. It can be also served as a brunch or an evening snack with coconut chutney or peanut chutney or avakaya pickle.

We use to ferment the batter.
Tamper with mustard,jeera red chilli and chopped curry leaves.
Side dish will be fresh onion chutney with ghee.
Rakesh, when you taste it even my mouth was watering. Aahaaa, pudavai madippu ohhooo. Super.

Learning recipes from you and Rama is very knowledgable, but the icing on the cake is the non-stop conversations between Mother and Son! My mom made this yesterday and we enjoyed it with the condiments. In our Konkani Community, we make something similar known as 'Doddak'. The only difference is we add tempering while adding it in the kadai. Thanks again for this recipe.
It Mangalore side it is called Dhodna or Baanaal dose (Baanaal is basically the kadai on which it is cooked)
