Analysing HDFC Bank's Q1 Business Update: Will It Spoil The Bull Run?

HDFC Bank Analysis: HDFC Bank Ltd.'s gross advances declined 0.8% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 24.87 lakh crore in the April-June quarter, the bank said in an exchange filing on Thursday. The private lender's deposit growth remained flat at Rs 2.37 lakh crore on a quarterly basis during the reporting quarter. HDFC Bank's current account-savings account deposits fell 5% on a sequential basis to Rs 8.63 lakh crore during the first quarter of the ongoing financial year. Year-on-year numbers are not comparable as the bank concluded its mega merger with Housing Development Finance Corp. on July 1, 2023.
