Love these videos with a monthly theme. Jigs and jointed swimbaits are the 2 baits I’m really forcing myself to throw this year . Always trying to learn new techniques! Great informative video as always
Always happy to eat my cereal and watch your fishing videos in the morning! Before my fishing adventures got out yesterday! And caught some decent wild trout in the middle of the city! And got my driving learner’s permit!
No fishing Mother’s Day weekend right now though😢
Well I hope it is at least good cereal like Captain Crunch :)
It’s great that your are going through every month putting out input on what to use during those months for where anywhere you could be in the country. You are awesome . Keep on doing what you do best. Learning a lot from your postings . Thank you !!!!
Great video and will be definitely trying out each of those baits. Thanks for the tips on how to use them.
Awesome video.!!
Yesterday morning I went fishing at the western part of Stonecoal lake. The last 5/6 acres of the lake are extremely flat and very shallow. Nobody fishes it because of this. So I got my rubber boots and waded out to the top of my boots, wind blowing 20 mph in my face and I’m thinking what in gods name am I doing out here.?? I’m using a white paddle tail super fluke weightless and the water is starting to turn orange from all the chop from the wind. On the second cast a big wake charges my fluke and it disappeared.!! Set the hook and reel in a very well earned 6 pound bass biggest of this year. You’re videos are so incredible and help me so much with my fishing in and around upshur county West Virginia. Thanks.
Excellent info Tyler! Thank you as always Sir!
Ready for May! Thanks for sharing.
Naw not up here in Syracuse, NY… It just started warming up & our pre spawn starts late May. Crank baits work in May up here
Been enjoying your videos 📹. Great job keep it coming 👍
Love the video and content, Brother! Keep at it !!!!
First i Would like to say this channel by far is one of the best along side with TRF fishing i do alot of fishing almost every day LoL no matter when it could be day or night i get the opportunity im going. Usually after it gets dark i switch over to cat fishing but over the past year of learning and watching videos about bass fishing my favorite technique is the drop shot i have cought more bass and bigger ones at night than i could during the whole day anything i put on the drop shot they would bite it. I just had to share this i live in northern California and fish lake oroville
Hey Tyler this video was excellent. Really helped my May be successful. #1 & #2 were all i needed! Still trying to get one on a swim jig though🤣
Floating worm is what made my last spring so awesome. I used a Texas rigged 4inch bold bluegill color Roboworm and absolutely killed it.
Virginia Beach VA and I'm loving the popping frog the frog and senko have caught more fish for me than anything else this year and the swim jig is not far behind
Great video- thank you
My five 9in MS Slammer, Real Prey Forage trout, chugging spook, jig and zoom lizard. I'm in Massachusetts. I've got a ton of worms and flukes, but since picking up Swimbaits four years ago, I m completely hooked! I have fish on beds in my so I have to have a lizard and jig. Get yourself a Slammer around, low light, or windy and cloudy and hold on!
Sup Tyler. Picked up a thing or 2 that wouldn't expect. I'm finally going to go fishing this week. Doctors said ok as long as I don't drive and sit on bank, but better than nothing. Friends are taking me Thursday and Friday and will try some suggestions I've learned. It's still pre spawn here but word is they are making beds👍. Ty tc
Love this channel
Dude I couldn’t agree more! Those 5 baits are killer in May. Great video bro. The floating worm has been more productive than anything for me. And the bubblegum and merthiolate are two of my favorites, but I also use yellow later in the year
Do you use any kind of weight? thank you, amateur fisherman
@@ricardocamacho9804 I use a swivel and that’s it. No weight
Great information again. The weightless fluke just gets eaten. .... I’m looking to learn / try the glide bait and floating worm. Looks like fun.
Ever donkey rig a fluke? Pretty fun
Keep up the great work
Awesome info
I agree wit 4 of these 5 baits but I hve crazy hits on water dragons...pumpkin seed, coal wit flakes are very good.
Love the Brandon Cobb Ark series rods.....
Thanks again bud for all the knowledge and tips you share with us. I would like to do a challenge with you please, I show you a lake or a pond, you suggest lures and I go fish it and post the video with the results? I honestly have been successful with the tips you post in your videos and I wanted to show others how affective your techniques and suggestions are. What do you think? I’m on YT under Pond Bass Fishing but I post on TT more
It's great fishing..
I think I want to join your journey fishing adventure 😁😊
Ill only be throwing a swim jig i went out last week caught a nice 4pounder and a few smaller ones swim jig is hot in my area especially in that heavy cover they cant resist it
Love your videos but I think you should also try Lukestrike lures
if you figure out the version of clear"new" Indian lake let us all know in a video!!!!
On your Glide bait , I noticed you don’t have it tied directly to the lure .. what clip/snap doe you use ?
As always great content love the channel
I live in New York n truly believe we and other north east states are the hardest to fish my pb is 5lbs 12ozs and we do have good places locally me n my buddy fish but I really believe if I went south below Maryland that I could slay fish after all the tough fishing I'm used to dealing with. I'm dying to take a week long trip to Georgia or Florida so I can slay hawgs
May in NH and I still can’t find out what season we’re in. I can see beds but no bass on them but it’s only water temp of 40. So we throw the kitchen sink at em
In MA this weekend. 5amet, small lake. Caught two LMB on slow rolled colorado spinnerbait. Water temp is 52. Fish approx 1.5-2lbs. Good luck! Magic season in NE is this month. Prespawn now, spawn coming approxend of May.
Same in NC. Been weirdest spawn season ive ever seen.
@@ratbird3290 big thanks
If we just had a yankee version of tyler on yourube us NE anglers would be in the money!
@@ratbird3290 603Bass is a good channel. More focused on weekly streams but no one has really focused on Up North Bass angling like they do
I have the rid excuse me the pink floating worm always in the bag but I have to say today and all of last week I have using the Robo worm with the chartreuse tail all fruit punch color and a bronze one and I’m using them as a wacky rig and they are tearing them up I even caught three nice crappy today that were hanging around the bush the spinner bait chatter bait in a strong nedrig like her finesse and half power fish has been working for me with the big Hula ticklers and the bigger short shoes worms they have just been working great for me and I’m in Baltimore Maryland and I fish all the lakes except for western Maryland
Is that a Berkeley rod with the floating worm?
Um I’m new and I’m in Indianapolis anyone know what spawn phase they are in? Or how to know? And I only pond fish so I’m not sure if those tips apply
Thank you so much for the tips.. I’m 28 and now getting into fishing lol. What is the best “overall” setup for all around fishing? (Rod size, reel, line) Also.. any tips on how to avoid snags?
Best all around is a 7ft medium power spinning rod with a 2500 size reel, pair that with 15lb braid to 10lb fluorocarbon leader. Best all around casting combo is 7ft medium heavy with a 7:1.1 gear ratio, stay with either 15lb fluorocarbon or 30lb braid
7' med/heavy fast tip baitcaster, 7:1:1 reel, and 15-17 lb. Monofilament will be the most versatile setup u can have...if using spinning, 7' medium with 30lb. braid...however, the baitcast setup is more versatile for almost all lures, except finesse techniques
Thank you so much I was fishing rip rap yesterday and I was wondering how can I compete versus all these gizzard shad, proton from time to time I would see a bass come up there and eat a few of them but I could figure out what I could throw to get their attention. I tied on a bright blue with chartreuse tail trick worm caught two then (one on the drop) then Sunday i caught 5 on the same trick worm color. I got two aggressive ones they were trying to eat it the rest I caught on beds just taking the bait and putting it out of the nest. I have a oversized zoom fluke it's white you think I should try to throw that there's some big bass where i fish
To compete you need flash. 2.8 keitech on a coolbaits underspin. Or finesse spinnerbait
@@ratbird3290 nice. I tried ripping a blue back chrome ratltrap a few feet from the shad but nothing. If sandbags are close then I'll catch them until I'm sick of it,
@@DFWdarin i love to yo yo a trap.
do smallmouths like swim jigs ?
We might live in bc Canada too
I often forget about the floating worm.. but yeah, it’s deadly in shallow water. Btw, you look like so much like the tall guy on dude perfect. Probably a better fisherman though haha.
You throw a glide bait on the pressured lakes in Ohio?
Is there a special truck to keeping your work on your hook when using wacky rig?
Without the little rubber bands
Honestly I'm new at bass fishing and Honestly don't have a clue what the bass are doing in my area of Texas as far as post or pre spawn
Those big swimbaits has drawing power for the bass to show themselves. Then you can follow it up with a soft bait.
I’m in Arkansas
I stayed committed to a frog for three hours and three different leaks the only way I can get hit on a frog is if it’s got paddle tails in the back like a whopper popper the longer hunter the all white one but other than that I’ve had best blow up on top of them I have let them go under the water and that was about it I don’t know if the hooks would’ve been right if I didn’t modify it right but I don’t understand why you should have to modify anything that’s over six bucks specially when they’re mass produced you know how hard is it to set a frame inside of a hollow body to where the hooks can penetrate the roof of the mouth and not have to worry about the leg and the leg of the body part that blows it out and makes it sicker when they should just mold that area a little bit stronger word ain’t got a glue the legs in or however they’re Have them but the skirt leagues very angry I only know a few people that I fish with that actually catch fish with them but for me about I’d rather walk a dog I use my spoon am I spooked Junior that’s what I have Lock with an I put a feather tail in the back of it
Idaho.... I live in North Idaho come fish with me.
