Feb 11th, 2024, will be our 15-year anniversary. I already miss him so much that I've fallen into depression & ...it's pretty bad. I've had friends & my therapist... but it's not the same. My thoughts keep wandering & doubts come in.
I've been feeling pretty low & this song?... It kinda feels like it's from him, in a way, & I just started tearing up & I also relate to a few parts as well.
I've never been good with finding deeper meanings, so I may be completely oblivious if there is something deeper, but just the lyrics help. I'd kinda rather stay oblivious if it means something different, though.

I don’t harmonize with each song of these guys, but „Sleepwalking,“Reckoning“ and Watching Over You“ got my full audience.
Theory time: I'm a huge fan and I've been keeping up with the arcadia world series for a while now, digging for lore in all their videos, and I can't help but notice some parallels between this video and the "Let Me Be Your Superhero" one, I think the first video they've ever posted of Apoc online and a kind of introduction to his character.
In that music video he helped "save" a young asian dancer and thematically the song was REALLY similar to this one with being a watchful guardian from the shadows over a particular person .... in this video, an asian girl similar to the dancer, seems to be following him around and "watching over" him, a direct inverse. It would be REALLY neat if this was the same girl grown up from Let Me Be Your Superhero determined to repay the favor, by being HIS guardian and watching out for him now. like if this was set up years in advance???? 👀👀👀👀

It's funny how I relate to this video, bc though the lyrics captivate me and I resonate with it, the characters also do. I'm doing sword fights, martial arts, but as a kid I used to do ballet and traditional dancing. That part feels so far away tho like a whole another life.
Some of SIP's music lore really can be interpreted multiple ways for me, it can be about self and the ones you want to protect, and it can also be about the old/healed self that wants to protect their kid/tortured self.
