Awesome video! I've been playing Ragnarok Online on and off since 2004 and never really thought too much about the in-game lore haha. It's such a vibrant world.
Glast Heim is the best story for me as part of the Ragnarok Lore.
I seriously hope that more of this will be tackled in future patches

Lmao. I am playing Ragnarok MYSG and pp chose to make Prontena great again by moving all venders to Pront. When I asked how about making Glast Helm great again. They all vanished in the darkness and left one mes: "We don't have that many merchants"

I have a question, where exactly did you hear the story from? Is it told in the in-game quest? I tried to find the storyline of RO but RO has tons of quests and I dont know which quest is the main quest/involves major storyline :' D
ianmaru yes mostly from in game quests and got also a lot of help from iRO forums.
Problem with RO is that quests has not really been a focused during its early days so it does not really have a main quest. Closest you can say is the quests leading to the reappearance of satan morroc which should have resulted to Ragnarok but then you defeated him delaying the end of the world.
Most lore on the otherhand are just collections of stories which are sometimes related with each other. Like how this video became related with my latest video 😂😂

Filipe Barros more on in game quest with the help of some veteran players like sigma and zero tigress. Lighthalzen biolabs in chapter 2 is from ragnarok webtoon series which has an unofficial english translation you can find in RO reddit :)
Glast heim is cool but, the most disgusting, disturbing, and saddest of all lore is in Cor Core (episode 17.1 main quest line), it jusst shows the werner lab disgusting things ever done to the innocents from lighhalzten slums, i’ll never forget the baby who wants wants 10 feathers of bird, and the tragic ends of patrick kauffman and the rest of the innocents, it’s just too disturbing and inhumane.
This main quest really it’s like the reference to Germany war crimes during WW2

In reality, Gh is a city in Germany, Infested with demons during the crusades. The story is just a real reflection of the works of ang battle of templar knights.

Glastheim is very interesting. I began playing it again on the mobile. Even the side lore is interesting (the demon attack/coup during the royal wedding). It's just the translation quality is not the best, so I got some confusion in reading the lore.

For the past 15 years I thought Glast Heim was cursed by the elves after humans exterminated them in Geffenia... I don't remember where I read that.
I only know from google that Glast Heim used to be the capital of midgard. Their knights are strong... too strong that the other country consider them super entities. But the king got greed and mad with power he send an assassins to steal a tome of power from Gefenia Tower. Little that the king know, by opening/reading that tome he unleash a great evil over his kingdom and damned his soul and the citizen forever turning them into undead and demon.
So different from what you saying here.

YuuYuu glastheim story is different in mobile. I prefer this original story full of twist than the mobile’s straightforward one :)

Heart of ymir was used to create the world as such containing soo much power. And its always this overwhelming power that antagonist wants to either destroy or rule the world.
As for freya’s case I think its more on to destroy it but its kinda difficult to tell as it was not really continued in the manhwa and not yet tackled in the official game
