    Sir KissAnalog a question...
    the datasheet says 4 ohms in stereo and 8 in bridge but why many sellers of the same power amplifier you test they say can work in 4 ohms in mono. i believe more in the datasheet instead of the sellers
    8 ohms in mono is the correct load

    Dear sir,
    Thank you for good information about this product.
    Please I need your suggestions ,
    I have three boards of this audio amplifier,
    3×(210w+210)420w board,
    How many volts & watts of transformer require to operate for 3×(210w+210w)420w=1260w.

    • @KissAnalog
      @KissAnalog  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the great question. Your math is very close, but technically the efficiency would need to be taken into account, and then some margin for temp rise. On the other hand, what's the chance that all 3 will be at the max power - and still at any length of time. So, I think it really depends on the use.

    • @ford1546
      @ford1546 Před 2 lety

      Do not know if you knew this. You do not get more out of an amplifier than what is max A. and V. Out from the amplifier ic.

      Thanks for the great question! This board is set up for an AC input, so it does want a plus and minus voltage. It is possible as I have done, to power it with DC input voltage, but it does still want the plus and minus voltage. But this Class D can run off of a single DC input and your 24 V would work. czcams.com/video/eybcVbWgFdA/video.html

    Another thing that I don't get is how to reduce thd+n. It seems all about gain but a lot of class d don't have a gain regulation. So for what I can understand is that you have to give him full supply voltage but reduce the input signal. In this way it does not saturate and can work better...

    • @KissAnalog

      Thanks for the question. It is important to look at THD with Noise especially in a Class D to account for noise not associated with harmonics.

      They're not stock NVidia coolers that i can think of, but they're likely aftermarket coolers that somebody might have made a bunch of and never sold, and they're just NVidia branded to make them look more legit. For maybe midrange to higher end older GPUs like between 6000 and 9000 series, or the likes of GT240 and GT440. They might have even been made with a mistake such as not observing the keepout area, so these might not even actually fit on the real GPUs. :D
      If you're designing for random parts that you can find in the Shenzhen markets, this approach makes total sense, since NVidia has kept the same cooler mounting hole pattern for the longest time. And a lot of cards shipped with junk coolers that were either noisy or fell apart, so there was demand for aftermarket cheap and not quite horrible ones. There are also refurbishing operations that put new coolers and often fake firmware on older GPUs that they fish out of junk, so somebody has to be making those fresh coolers, so the amp manufacturer probably won't run out of compatible coolers for a LONG time to come.

      LOL I'd play some music in the background, but CZcams wouldn't be happy with me;)

      No doubt haha. On a serious note, I don't know a deal about electronics but thoroughly enjoyed your video. Quality analysis and interesting. Surprised how good this little unit seems 🤘. Cheers buddy 😊

    The result is not surprising!
    These cheap CLASS D amplifiers are always given much more watts on paper than what is true.
    They also do not have particularly good sound quality.
    cheap class-ab always better sound quality than the cheap class-d has. I have many class-d amplifiers and class-ab.
    The older
    hypex ucd180 has good sound quality.
    L15D with 50v-0v-50v DC. measures only 150 watts with 4 ohm resistor!

      Thanks for this great comment;) I think many amp kits as well as built amps are not well spec'd;) But, yes they do want to push the numbers up with these Class D amps.
