@BeGoodNow12 They've released a statement. It was just a paparazzi woman harassing Joost for the 2nd time in 2 weeks in a moment where the Dutch delegation had made clear in advance agreements that he cannot be filmed after the concert and she kept filming him anyway. Joost then made a gesture of putting her phone down without touching her. That was all.
đ do not worry. They will broadcast a good singalong-movie instead. Noone will be offended, or hurt, or feel left put, of misunderstood, as long as the movie is produced by the right country, in the right language, with the right singers and for the right reasons, and noone involved takes a stance on anything. It will be great, and utterly boring. Good thing there is eurovision after all this year.
The Dutch national broadcaster NOS has the news that Ireland, Greece and Switzerland have complained with the EBU about being filmed by members of the Israeli delegation without their consent. Which is why they didn't participate in the flag parade.
That is clearly a directed narrative to make the Israeli delegation look bad. Not surprising considering which delegations are making these accusations. I guess ''they'' decided to go for more then just protests this time. Lets see what will happen. Is the public going to go allong with that or stand up for what is right?
Nobody's allowed to talk about 'peace', because Israel might feel offended ... and the EBU agrees. Knock me down with a prize-winning leek, but I don't get it. đ€
With all the turmoil that has been going on during the semi / reheursals. I would guess that the live show will be no different. But then again, the EBU will cut to commercials very quickly when shit hits the fan offcourse.
WOW! OK I get that with what happened it's complete chaos but now if every contestant starts making statements during the performances it's not a song contest anymore.
Do You people still donât understand that the biggest political movements especially when calling for PEACE in the modern day history always had artists involved? Art has always been uniting people to stand up for justice and delivering powerful messages to shake up the collective consciousness.
How on earth are you able to be offended by this?! He was addressing us all, and noone in particular. This is exactly the reason there is so much chaos going on in the eurovision; someone are looking for offense and attacks where there are none. Stop it. Just stop. And get some sleep.
Oh so stunning and brave. Why didn't they take a stand and not participate? oh, because it's all performative to increase their profile. Eden Golan has come out the classiest from all of this.
Slimane is making us all proud.
đź what happened 7.10.2023?
Thank you France, justice for Joostâ€

He is just saving his vocals for a live show.

It isn't about the music or artists, it's all about EBU Dictatorship Respect Slimane!!! Hope more will follow!

This news was confirmed by other media.
Well maybe itâs because of their hostility and rude behavior

So that was they where doing too Joost for speaking out about the war in Gaza. Then suddenly the film was missing.
Yes at this point not sure if it will go ahead

Literally. Iâm sure it wouldâve been allowed if the word âPEACEâ was representing the White & Blue star flagâs interests.. smfh
Eurovision is supposed to provide an escape from the reality of daily life and politics. I want to be entertained, not preached to.
You should go live under a rock then đȘš

Eurovision is now a Eurodrama and a Eurofiasco.... Thxx Slimane... Its all over politics and geopolitics. Where is the sense of music ?
Are You seriously asking whereâs the music when referring to Slimane??? Possibly the best vocals & song in this yearâs if not decades Eurovision.
@@1ndrulicka thats why i thank Slimane. I bet you misunderstood my comment
Its against the rules to make a statement during the reahersals or else. What are they gonna do with this?
No rulesâ€đ«đź

Iâm just tired of Israel. Better go sleep

Câest un concours de chanson, pas un concours de politique internationale.

@@anakin62630 How come the Israeli contestant can be political? Hm. Different rules for different participants?đ
