See this is how you react! Take care of your child and make sure he or she is all right, after that calmly speak to the ones involved and get shit cleared out
just get him up and go to the side of the slope. It's even more dangerous to sit in the middle just to pamper a kid who is perfectly fine...
@@MiniKodjo lol exactly, typical overreaction
Looks to be a steeper blue maybe a easier black diamond. What are they doing standing in the middle
@@calamitous9855 standing in the middle of a slope isn't an excuse to just run into somebody. This person clearly doesn't have the right skillset yet to be going at the speed he was going otherwise this sort of thing just doesn't happen.
Frankje01 Never claimed it was. I don’t think anyone could argue the gentleman that hit the kid wasn’t at fault and not in control. Perhaps I’m reading too much into your comment but just to be clear simply because I state one should not be standing in the middle of the slope doesn’t mean I somehow absolve the other party of blame or even imply that the child standing in the middle of the slope makes the child at fault. It’s common courtesy to stay off to the side of the slope. I said what I meant nothing more nothing less.

Skiing in America looks aggressive
It isn’t, there are just some bad apples you run into every now and then. I’ve never actually had an encounter with one but I have not been boarding for very long.
Everything in America is aggressive.
A P cuz it is 😂, a lot to avoid especially on small mountains
It’s really not. Just a few bad apples. 99.9% of people are friendly

can’t believe he called patrol because he got sprayed a little
And sprayed rightfully lol. Morons who stop in the center of the piste should be given a timeout.
I cant believe sth like a "patrol" actually exists :D :D
Tow Hee the center is fucking iced out most of the time anyway, I don’t get why it’s such a big deal for people who can easily see down and ski around him.
Or did this child think that spraying some guy who stopped is going to magically make every beginner and child stop doing it? It’s obvious critical thinking isn’t his strong suit so it’s best bone-head got kicked out before his dumbass caught a patch and slid into someone.
Also the guy paid his money for a lift ticket, that the dude spraying got escorted out not cause the spraying but because it’s easy to see what type of scum he is.
Bryce Smith the guy who sprayed also “paid his money for a lift ticket”
Euan 3653689521 and doing so agreed to the rules and conduct of the resort. If he didn’t break a rule why would ski patrol make him leave? Lol he’s a douche, my point still stands

A lot of these crashes could be avoided if people just stopped standing in the middle of the god damn hill
Yeah, but there are also a lot of beginners who don't really have control where they stop. It's the advanced riders' responsibility to be under control when riding at high speeds and avoid people
I've never met a good skier or boarder who hit someone standing in the middle of a hill.
George Banks - exactly. It's really not hard to avoid people who are stopped on the trail. The only exception to this is people who stop at the bottom of a jump or on the other side of a crest where people coming down the hill can't see them until the last second. Noone should be stopping in a place like that
@@Ghostyfrost9688 actually its everyone's responsibility to follow the rules. If your dumb enough to stand in the middle of a busy run you deserve to get smoked and have a yard sale for everyone to laugh at.
Brad Walker - That's a pretty retarded opinion, not gonna lie. Some people are beginners and don't have enough skill to control where they stop or fall. I agree that skilled riders should only stop on the side of the trail, but that doesn't apply to everyone. Advanced riders who ride fast have to watch out for beginners at all times. There's no excuse for plowing into people at all.
The guy crying cuz he got sprayed is a big baby.
Still, that kid is a little bitch, too.
That’s what kids do, always.
I agree, he should t have been stopped in the middle of the run
The issue wasn’t the spray it was the lip he gave back. I’m 17 similar skier to the guy that sprayed. Quick like jumping and shit and probs don’t always pay the most attention but I would NEVER give that lip. If I accidentally sprayed I would stop, apologise and hope the guy would get over it
Maybe the guy that got sprayed should be grateful that he only got sprayed, he was standing in the middle of the trail, the man disobeyed one hill rule that is universal, he diserved spray, lip, and if i would have been there a busted lip as well.
@@rustyshacklferd535 The only real rule is that the one who is going down and which is higher than an other one, has always the fault. You have to be able to control your speed to avoid any accident. No such thing as "no stop in the middle of the run" .
Imagine stopping a ski lift because you got sprayed in the face by snow
Yeah and he shared the video thinking he is a hero
literally all i do is manage to spray myself the whole day lol the dude that got sprayed is such a dweeb
That’s not why they stopped the lift. They stopped the lift because the guy was running from the patrolman.
Once again though, the other skier is in the wrong too, he could have just said his sorry’s instead of insisting it was the other persons fault.
@@aidenludwig5713 correct, dude was just a baby for chasing him down over one spray
@2:45 The kid is right. That's pretty much a universal mountain rule for most resorts and a part of good etiquette in general.
Seems like a good way to avoid accidents is having people be off the main area
It looked more like an emergency turn/brake to me than an intentional spray. But I’m not exactly an expert skier tbf
Dude is an asshole for calling patrol on the guy for “spraying him in the face” when he’s just standing in the middle of the trail, patrol here would have looked at him twice and told the guy complaining to come back next year.
It's a universal rule to do it if someone iss stopped

Every snowboarder knows the feeling of a skiier cutting you off completely randomly. But every snowboarder also know that snowboarders often take no regard to the "slow zone" just like the dude in the first clip 😅
Hasty generalization…
@@Underthreesuns Indeed, a comment about everybody riding a snowboard can't be anything but generalizing. Or perhaps you think my comment was aimed personally at you?
I mean, even some skiiers dont take regard to the slow zone.
The last clip was a snowboarder doing it to skiers…. This was a dumb comment cause everyone knows snowboarders who cut people off and everyone knows skiers who speed through slow zones. Youre just making a generalization to instill a stereotype that exists in just snow sports in general.

The skiier who got sprayed in the face is being so pathetic! You’re bound to always fall and get covered in snow all the time. I’m guessing he was trying to slow down and stop so he didn’t hit him. He didn’t mean to spray him.
the kid was a totally idiot and disrespectful, one short apology could save his day. Worked great on about 6"-8" of average snow starts to struggle a bit past 8". czcams.com/users/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN Very light weight and the chute spin control works well. For the low price you get a ton of value. My only complaint is managing the cord as it does take a fair bit of effort to watch and pull the cord out of the way. I found myself having to whip the cord out of the way a lot when I needed to make one way passes to mange the blow direction. It's less of an issue when you can work both directions. A battery powered version would be a lot easier to handle but that is also double the price and requires battery care. I chose the corded version so I didn't have to worry about batteries but I do now see how much work the cord is. I let my neighbor borrow it and it outperformed his smaller gas blower, he was totally sold. Very pleased with the power and operations. My only suggestion is to spend a bit more on a cordless version if you have budget for it. The cord is a bit more of a headache than I thought it would be. Very pleased with the Snow Joe brand and quality.
The guy filming at 2:17 is a jerk, and WHY is he standing in the middle of the hill?!

These snowboarders who lack any control whatsoever give boarders a bad name
Same with the bad skiers
Everyone has to learn
The boarders and skiers who aren’t advanced should just stay at the bunny slopes and green.
Solar - How are they supposed to get better and be able to ride blues and blacks if they never leave the greens?
Clement Duhamel - I agree. But control should be learned before speed is attempted. High speed with no control is how people get hurt/die
That iMovie music rlly got me in the feels
I’ve only been snowboarding a handful of times, but people standing in the middle of the hill confuse me.
I love watching these, expecting a fight to break out and then they're both super chill. =D
Also the dad of the kid who got hit was chill. I get it when some dads are over protective of their kid, but they need to understand like this guy that obviously he didn't intentionally hit your kid, and he obviously feels super terrible about it. There's no reason to over dramatize the situation. He reacted perfectly in my opinion.
That last one, I like how both sides use the word "kids" to make the other side look more guilty.
Well, it is all about the kids ...

I mean you don't stunt around like that on a narrow section around tens of people, most of whom are kids.
i agree its potentially dangerous but instead of starting an altercation they could have just stopped, let them ride away and have their peace
then maybe at the lift make them aware to be a bit more aware about their surroundings on tight passages

Wants to defend himself and friends from an assaulter you mean?
If someone sprayed me with snow on the hill I'd probably just think 'what the fuck was that for?' and go along with my day. You've gotta be a real ass to chase after a guy and report him to ski patrol for doing that.
FFS don’t stop in the middle of the run. If you stop in the middle you are to blame.
The uphill skier should always be on the lookout for the downhill skier(s) and expect the worst. It's really not that hard to do. It's the same concept as tailgating 2 feet from the car in front of you.
@@WayPastCrazy2525 yes but a car is not supposed to stop in the middle of the road, is it?
@@JustScrapHD The car in front may have to stop suddenly for any reason: animal in the road, a traffic light, cars stopped in front of it. But you proved my point. If the car DOES stop, you giving adequate space allows you time to brake or steer clear.
@@WayPastCrazy2525 you are correct but you are generalising the issue. The car behind or in this case the person behind, should be able to avoid a collision BUT that doesnt change the fact that the other car/person should also avoid needlessly standing in the middle of the lane.
@@JustScrapHD Yes, the car should generally not stop in the middle of the road for no reason. Doing so causes an unprepared car behind it to have to react suddenly and wonder wtf did they do that for. Plus, the trailing car is sometimes stuck, unable to quickly veer into other lanes.
Conversely, slopes are filled with all ages and all types of skiers/boarders. Unless it's a catwalk, the slopes are wide. It stands to reason that there always have been and always will be those that stop suddenly or take wide, careless turns. It's just part of the day on the slopes.
I've skied 25 years and I don't run into people. To me it's easy....expect the downhillers to act like there is no one else on the slopes above them and the uphillers to act like they're on a runaway train.
All that said, I prefer to hit the runs where no one is around. Peace and quiet and just the scenery.
this was the loudest intro i ever heard, almost had a heart attack
For the snowboarder who bowled into the kid, I'd at least pay for the bent pole. Cool dad there.
Why dont skiers look uphill before taking up the entire run
Why does that matter?
GuessMyName Unless someone is stopped beneath a crest or jump it's ALWAYS the responsibility of the uphill skier/rider to stay in control, aware of what's in front of them, and avoid a crash. In 40 years I've never once run into someone because I'm aware and responsible, and I shred and charge with the best of them. I have, however, been flattened a few times by out of control skiers (not any riders...yet) who had no regard for their surroundings.
GuessMyName as a skier it if you are unconfident or are tired the best thing do do is go slow to get home thus using more space in you r turns
Why don’t snowboarders sit and drink their beers in the lodge instead of the middle of the run
Any crash is always the person uphills fault

I'm a former Ski Patroller. When snowboards came along in the early 80's, this was the behavior that my fellow ski patroller and I predicted. We knew there was going to be conflict. There are several situations here between skiers and snowboarders on both sides that I would have clipped a Lift ticket over. Everyone on these slopes needs to understand that how they ski and what they do does affect others. Including the innocent.

Lol. The skiers have ski-only hills if they wanna be tight bout boarders. I love the energy snowboarders bring. Like spectating and skiing at the same time. More fun if you don’t know the sport.
There usually isn’t it’s mostly just skiers who don’t now about snowboarders blind sides
@Idk-lv2wv I feel like that's really the snowboarders' problem. They should be the ones adjusting and behaving conservatively.
1:11 great demonstration of the need of situational awareness from both uphill and downhill skiers
Finally a reasonable response
Good lesson for people wanting to sit in the middle of the run.
I'm wondering what the skill difference is for the average skier in US vs Europe.. Would explain the uptight rules, ski cops on the slopes and fear of injuries in the US.
I love when people laugh it out if no one got hurt
It’s combat out there!
7:34 reminds me of randy from trailer park boys
I am a snowboarder myself, and I completely respect skiing as well, but one thing I wish they would do is while doing S curves, please (for your safety and everyone else’s safety) check uphill and don’t do S curves across the entire trail. If you’re going to do some S curves down the mountain, use half of the trail and do the same thing. This can allow everyone to get by safely and still have fun without being hit or hitting someone.
i do long drawn out eurocarves on my board... all the time... its not just skiiers. i also been snowboarding since 91 and have never hit anyone. you know why? because if someone is in front of me i slow down and wait for a safe time to pass. i dont try to bomb past them i am considerate of everyone else in front of me and i wait til i know for certain it is safe to go past them. people downhill have the rightof way end of discussion.
fuck that use all the trail if you want, you've paid for it. It's up to the people behind you not to hit you.
OK, skiers aren't allowed to turn. Weird, but ok. Will you agree that snowboarders shouldn't side slip down runs? You got two edges, use em.
