He is not looked upon by Indians as a Muslim but as a genius Indian who is the King of percussion, specifically Tabla, which itself is an Indian percussion instrument, depicted in many ancient carvings! Ustadji himself fully identifies with India and Indian culture!
It's not good and correct to say that. They are not lacking but they have different visions of the same art which is music, painting, dancing. Western music is also blessing, lot of class painters, also classical dances like Ballet, so cultures have different arts they developed depending upon their history, mythology, values, civilisations.

Ustad Jakir Hussain is from a great music family from our country but he is for entire humanity in our time to spread music rhythm sync and love.
