I want to explain something about the song☺ It is not solely a gayfriendly song, It's the story of two solitudes, a gay man and a heterosexual man that share the same incapacity to express their feelings to the loved ones, losing everything. It's a message of equality and one of the first examples of pop music where they tear down the virtual wall that always separates the sentimental lives of hetero & gay men. Actually they were not flirting on stage. Sanremo is the italian music contest only for italian music. It's not a selection for the Eurovision contest, absolutely not. In Europe many countries have this wrong idea. But In italy we have this our own historical contest just for us. This is the 72nd edition OLDER than Eurovision. Eurovision contest was born inspired by the Italian one. In the past the winners were not usually to participate to the Eurovision because Sanremo was enough, now they partecipate just for marketing to sell more album.
And that's why The Italian songs are so good. I'm so glad that Italy came back to the Eurovision after a long brake and give us this enormous pleasure.

That was my exact first reaction to the song, despite understanding every word. The production and arrangement is absolutely prize-winning. And paired with both guys' vocals, especially Mahmood's in the chorus, the song is plain haunting. Regardless of the result in the competition, it is certainly a track deserving an international career right here right now. Up there with Ed Sheeran, Adele and anyone else on Billboard.

Wonderful reaction...the title of the song is "Brividi" that means "shivers" and even if you don't understand the lyrics it's just great to see you feel those shivers inside you. The song is about the difficoulty to face and carry on a love relationship (no matter the sex of the 2 in the couple), our fragilities, our fears to make mistakes.......and it's beautiful how just the perfect fusion of the two voices causes real goosebumps in most of the listeners.
