      There is no way to fix the problem after they sold the speaker. it can only happen if the make a change at the factory with the programing the preamp and adjusting the wiring on the board so it will all work. for any one like me and you we have to look at adding an alto total Bluetooth adapter to make it work with a subwoofer.

      It will be upto Electro-Voice to set us up with a Sample this time, but I looked at the product and specs
      , The true sound quality from the front end is the same ( if it not broken don't fix it) the Back half and has some small box Changes Plus the new SMART CONTROL AND CONNECTIVITY App along with phantom power and Hi-Z. over all Power output and dB look the Same. Over all Still a Great speak for smaller Gig, Stage Monitors, Rehearsal Spaces.

    Hi 👋Thanks for uploading all these great audio reviews.
    I'm looking at the TS308/TS312S vs TS408/TS12S unfortunately I can't find anywhere that has both setup for testing. I read a comment that the series 3 is softer on the highs which I prefer as the speakers are for home use. Sound quality is more important than DB or DSP/Bluetooth. I might consider the TX range if the sound quality is the same.
    As reference I previously owned the QSC K10 (original) with KSUB. These were also used in a home studio at low - medium volume. Great sound at close range.
    If anyone can help drop me a comment. TIA! 🙂

      you would have to call some guitar centers where you live to see if the have any trade in TS3 speakers so you can hear them, but for me the sound the same with out having them side buy side that said everything that made me really like the TS3 I can hear in the TS4. for Home or a rehearsal space have a look at the LD systems Icoa12 or line array like the MLS1000. SUPER Fan of both of them.

      As a DJ who's had all of them.. (QSC, Yamaha dsr's, Altos, JBL PRX & SRX) I can tell you that for the most part there isn't a discernible difference in a lot of environments. If it's about volume then get 3ways. If you want warmth, get wooden cabinet speakers.
      If you're an audio snob then you'd notice things but the avg person won't distinguish one from the other mostly. DSP has been the ultimate equalizer. Alto lacks in on board DSP screen/options the other top brands offer. Hence the price difference.

    They do advertise RMS? the plate amp anyway, the drivers are redcatts and oddly 2ohm for the mid/woofer and 4ohm for the compression driver crossed at 2khz. The actual drivers are rated at 400w and 30w.

    • @expertisland
      @expertisland  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Right on the RMS, it is on the product page 2500 W peak (1600 LF + 900 HF) 1250 W continuous RMS (800 LF + 450 HF), and I was thinking of the Subwoofers, not the tops when I said that. *but where did you get the info on the drivers?*

    • @thereflexmobiledisco6700
      @thereflexmobiledisco6700 Před 5 měsíci

      @@FunkyDrumm3r so this is how you drive speakers ( more headroom from the amplifier that's driving the speakers). Alto tend to throw more than needed to the high frequency drivers probably just so they can state a higher wattage. More expensive speakers like FBT, RCF ect do the same but use higher quality drivers from companies like B&C with really high sensitivity so the volume gets really loud using less power. For instance I think the FBT promax high frequency compression driver uses a B&C rated at 60w RMS at 101db, at 8ohm with 200w RMS coming from the amplifier. The Altos now use redcatt speaker drivers which are pretty decent spec wise for a speaker at this price point.
