A New Series Is Coming…..Back To The Basics

- There's a new series coming. Like so many of us CZcamsrs, we forget that some of the people who watch our videos are new to bushcrafting. In this series I want to get Back To The Basics and touch on some beginner skills. Plus, it's always good to brush up from time to time.

I do too. I was lucky, our Scout Master was in the Air National Guard and taught wilderness survival. So our camping trips were a bit different from normal scout troops. Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for watching
I've still got my old boyscout hand book. They really have good info in them.this will be a great series
I think a lot of us grew up with the Boy Scouts and learned a lot from them. The Scouts now are nothing like they were when we were in them. Thanks for watching
That back to basics sounds like a great idea. I think my Dad didn't think I'd need to know these sort of things. But I do know how to take down a tree and hunt. Take care

Those handbooks are priceless info, I wasn’t a boyscout of course but received info and training of sorts from my Dad and Brother’s who were Boyscouts. I have since even picked up a few boyscout manuals over the years and found more good info. Of course like everything including our health if we don’t use it regularly we loose it, and then when we want it most we can’t twitch our nose like Bewitched did and change things. We need to do as much as we can when we can with what we can.

It’s funny that you said that. When I was in the Scouts in the mid to late eighties our scouts master’s daughter joined. It was a big up roar for sure! I agree, they are a great source of information. It’s funny though, I’ve got 3 that cover almost 20 years and the info didn’t change a lot. Hope you have a good thanksgiving as well.
