As much as I was just screaming for Bruce to give in and kiss her right back, I think this was the perfect bittersweet ending to Selina and Bruce.
For just a split second, you see Bruce give in, only to turn away remembering his responsibilities.
It's so cold because you know he wants to, but he can't.

Highly reminiscent in Dark Knight Rises. Just before she sets off with the Batpod to aid him in the war against Bane and his army, she genuinely apologizes for all the harm she inflicted upon him, breaking down into tears. She then begs him to come and spend the rest of his life with her, yet, however much he wants to do so, he is compelled to do Gotham one last favor.

Almost a twist of fate as their paths cross again, this time with a happy ending: the Batman myth buried and the Catwoman tamed by her love of a normal life. This is the most emotional scene in all of Arkham Franchise everybody who’s a fan can admit that too, You can see that Bruce wanted to kiss her too but he held back because he needs people to understand he can’t always be there, this is the last scene you got with Bruce and Selina…so harsh

Batman's goodbye to Dick is more emotional imo but this comes close.
Rocksteady has probably come the closest to treating Batman like a damaged and mentally ill person more than any other interpretation. He’s so obsessed with delivering justice and fighting crime that it borders on kleptomania. He can’t stop because his obsession won’t let him. Even after Scarecrow doses him with fear toxin for the last time, he loses the ability to feel fear but still carries on, as if his mission has become nothing less than the soul motivating factor of his entire existence and he’s just completely broken. Like a robot. That’s why he’s able to reject Catwoman without so much as a single moment of hesitation so he can continue his crusade. Because he’ll choose the mission every time. It’s quite sad.

That's some good analysis, actually. Also, after Joker died, he literally becoming the Joker thanks to the Scareceow's toxic fear as his life will never be the same without the Joker. Batman and Joker are like Yin and Yang, both of them are obsessed with each other but in opposite sides: Batman for Justice while Joker for Crimes. Without one of them, it looks empty.

No, you just don't get it. Batman is stoic and has conquered his fear, he embraced it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist or that he has no emotions at all. Being courageous isn't lacking fear of anything, it's overcoming it and taking actions despite that fear. The fact is that Bruce Wayne may be a regular human, but his brain and psyche has definitely developed to supernatural levels over time. He has superhuman feats of stopping mind control of people like Martian Manhunter and Deadman.

This is why I love Batman and Catwoman...There is something ironic and poetic about their relationship that no matter how powerful Bruce is...he still feels haunted and inadequate that he doesn't really trust anyone, not even Selina Kyle. In the end, he is just a prisoner in his own tortured mind...This reminds me of an unforgettable relationship I had with a girl. It was magnetic and strange,manipulative. We even were enemies but yet we felt a strong sexual attraction between us.

Well the telltale version of batman and catwoman I guess I would ship them they got along so much better than this batman and catwoman did despite I might end up regretting it deeply later spoiler alert I saved catwoman instead of harvy
They are already a thing. Infact they were a thing for a long time. And judging by the ending, this will go down Batman Beyond way with an ending similar to Dark Knight Returns part 2, so I am assuming they will be a thing in this universe too.
They are a thing in like everything, comics, animated, games, etc.
Still better ending between them than in Telltale games in which people expected a lot of romance and ended up with Catwoman leaving with not even a kiss of goodbye..
She's probably going to be back in episode 5. No way Telltale would build up her character and their relationship so much only to end it so abruptly. But, knowing Telltale, I doubt a happy ending is in sight for Bruce and Selina. She may even die.
You could kiss her actually, but you had to regard her as more than a thief and then tell her about how she saved his life or how good it was to fight with her. Plus, in season 2, Bruce can pursue a relationship with her if the player chooses.

When you think about it, you are most likely going to beat the riddler challenge last, leaving you to speak to Selena last. She was the last one to say goodbye to the batman, and i think he meant that to happen. He could've gone to Tim, or dick, or Oracle, or anyone. But out of all of them, he chose Selena. He never could allow himself to have a love life. so in the end, he said goodbye to the one person he has ever cared about in that way last. It's the only way he could ever say 'I love you' to anyone, and his last

Kevin Conroy as the Arkham series Batman is just as legendary as his Animated Series Batman. He gets the character right down to every single point.
The detective, the, crime fighter, the darkness and the night, the billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne with his dark second personality and most of all: The tormented bond between the two. Gotham welfare needs Bruce to make it a better place and Gothams criminal world requires Batman to fight it.

I really wanted to see a more emotional human side to catwoman. She's should've took off her cowl and shed a tear And put on a more serious/concerned tone of voice. But instead she still uses her high pitch sexual voice and she's taking it lightly that Bruce is basically telling her that he's leaving for ever.
That part where she grabbed his hand as he was walking away that's where she should have got serious.. Took off the cowl, looked him right in the eyes and finally dropped the cat act and confessed how she really felt about Bruce, then kissed. Would've been a way more powerful emotional scene.
Terrence Washington I disagree. While sad and bleak this was perfect for both characters. Selina's not the kind of person who sheds a tear or shows she's not taking something lightly. Her saying "I just wanted to say it" is enough.

I'm sorry, but we don't need a rom-com or some bullshit like that. This scene was perfect to both characters and their behaviours. Selina Kyle grew up in an environment where she had to toughen up because men were constantly all over her and picking on her, Bruce is actually the man that changed her world-view because she has always been a very cynical and emotionless woman on the outside, but he showed her people with true and pure intentions do exist. Bruce himself at this point is the perfect stoic, a man that has went through so much physical and psychological pain and trauma, the mere fact he is alive and still a fully functioning 1-man army is a miracle or a definitive superhuman feat. Neither could allow themselves to soften up for more than a mere second, which did happen and that's why they kissed. Bruce wanted it just as much as Selina, maybe even more, but he knows his sacrifice has to be his own and he can't do any more collateral damage to the people close to him.

That’s definitely a part of his character that can be infuriating. He doesn’t want to give himself a break and that mindset has cost him the chance to have a great relationship with so many people.
He is Batman, he always acts like that; even when he wants to take a break he still compells himself to his crusade as Batman and never gives himself the chance to sit down due to his trauma for seeing his parents killed; he is deep down just a child trying to catch 2 bullets and trying to fulfill an imposible oath: to save everyone from dying

You can see the moment when Bruce forgets everything and just kisses Selina. Then he remembers his responsibilities and how he can never live with Selina even if he wanted to. How neither of them will ever be safe as long as the Batman lives.

I get that in this universe that Bruce Wayne really loved Talia and when she died he didn't want the same thing to happen to Selina. Granted in this series their love is not shown that much but Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle have always had a love interest. So it kinda makes sense that Bruce left her hanging because he didn't want History to repeat itself.
Bruce wasn't in love with Talia in City, but obviously he cared for her a lot because that's just the man that he is.
This in my head happens right before Bruce starts the Knightfall Protocall, and im my opinion is the best and most emotional scene in the entire anthology, with the end of the story a close second. The intimacy and sincereness of this interaction is beautiful
I think it's one of the most emotional scenes in a batman game/movie in general, it was so well done and its definitely one of my favourite performances

Batman giving in for a second and then going back to being himself is so sad.
He just didn't want to lead Selina along and risk her life if they get together. Just look at what happens to Catwoman in this game by simple being associated to Batman, not even a known ally, but people like Riddler will look for anything to hurt Batman in the worst way possible.
The problem is that Bruce might actually find Happiness with Selina, but he is way too busy finding a way to stop crime once and for all.
