When I was in elementary school one of my teachers daily'd an early 80's Toyota camper (which was a dually). Always thought it was pretty cool.

Very Cool , in the 1970s JCWhitney Catalogs they sold Adaptar kits for the Chevy Luv (Isuzu ) and the Ford Courier(Mazda) mini trucks to make them a bolt on Dually Conversion i was only a Kid but i would read my Dads JCWhitney Cataologs cover to cover numerous times as he typically left them and other Catalogs in the Bathroom i had always thought Dually Trucks were cool and as a Adult i finally bought a Chevy 3500 Dually Deisel to pull my Sportfisher Boatband some 5th Wheel Campers i also had several other Trailers i pulled for other needs BTW i run the Truck with a Stock6.5 TurboDeisel and just a normal 3 Speed Automatic Chevrolet transmission that has plenty of Tourque but with 4:10 Gears my Fuel Mileage goes way down over 65 MPH pulling anything so i allow the Turbo to wind up to give me boost fr going over Mountains and passing on uphills if i need to do so t it is a 4X4 and i don’t feel the parts are worth the justification to switch the gear over as i don’t Pull full time with the Truck so i don’t mind paying a little extra on fuel for short trips plus i live close to my Marina

I agree with every comment thus far... but what caught my attention most was the “before work” statement! How in the holy hell do you have time for a “job”?!?! I’m loving the dually concept, by the way. Looks awesome! Sid looks enthusiastic as hell about it too! 😂

Hey, man! I just came upon your channel when looking for Toyota pickup dually conversions (research for my '89). This looks like a great project and I think it's smart going with the 5 lug siamese dually for a mini truck that isn't going to be hauling much weight or going off road. What I've learned on various forums and other peoples projects is that I need a 6 lug true dually axle from a 4x4 version if I'm going to be hauling, towing, and being off road in it 50% of the time. But it got me wondering what would be a worthy application of the 5 lug... and viola! Here you are doing it right, my dude 💪

now i am 57 years old. and in regards to your Siamese Dually rims i have not seen those although in the early 1970s JC Whitney Catalogs sold a adapter kit for both the Ford Courier mini truck and the Chevy Luv in the picture it basically just looked like a Spacer that allowed you to bolt another rim to it a simple system but i had always remembered it as luck would have it. i got into boating and Camping as a Adult and i wound up driving a Silverado 3500 Dually Diesel 4X4 to pull those toys around mine is a Centurion Conversion Truck and i thought it would be cool to build my son a replica using a S10 Mini truck so i looked all over for a similiar Spacer to do that easily which i never found so the idea got scrapped altogether my truck also came with a nice Custom paint job similiar to Southern Comfort Paint jobs so the intent would be to replicate that as Well do you have any idea who built those Siamese Rims you are using on the older Toyota ? i remember some of the older Toyota based Campers had Duallies but i never owned one and i kind of assumed those were a Factory aaxlevthing that Toyota manufactured

I love that idea for the S10. I saw a photo online of a Dooley Mazda b2200, and ever since then I wanted to make one also. Then like you, saw the Toyota campers and figured that’s what was used for the rear end. I still hope to make mine one like the photo I saw online.

Hi there. I too have the siamese dually wheels. We just broke off two bolts while changing the tires. Any idea where I could find a couple of these bolts that hold the wheels together?
