I’m hoping you can describe how to remove the diffuser from a J7S pump. Since the diffuser is plastic I’m not sure how to remove as a socket doesn’t fit tightly on it. I’m worried it will snap off. I’ve called a few dealers and they indicate it’s not worth rebuilding; just buy a new pump.

It looks like the 1 horse power has the same input and output sizes 1-1/4 in and 1 inch out as the J5S 1/2 horse power version does. Is there much of a difference in water flow at the same pressure of 40/60 psi system? If they have the same input and output pipe size how could it have more flow??

At least my understanding is that it will have a really short shaft but they are usually designed for continuous use. So I don’t see any problem unless you can’t find a way to adapt to the shaft.

Still investigating where the injector would go, if it were set-up as a deep well. And if I have water at 20-25', would it be foolish to use it as a deep well, (double piped), or would it be easier on the pump motor, cause it wouldn't be working as hard?
