    Wonderful car, wonderful. I'm a 60 year old disabled United States Navy Veteran. I owned a red one just like this when I was younger but fell on hard times and had to sell my car. I have always wanted to get another but I'm disabled now and can't afford to purchase one. I really loved my red 1969 Ford Torino GT it always turned heads. Now my car is only in my dreams. Thanks for bringing back my dream car on youtube. Thanks for the video ride, almost cried, it brought back all the great memories I had from when I rode around in my car. Well done and I salute you.

    The way he describes that car , room, comfort, power, fun to drive, etc., sounds like me talking about my 65 Galaxie 500 .

      I have one too! I bought mine back in 2001 and drove it home over 300 miles. It's a convertible 390 4bbl Cruise-O-Matic Springtime Yellow. 93,000 original miles and never been overhauled. Still runs smooth and powerful.

    Alan Jackson once sang "If I had money i'd tell you what i'd do"; well, let me tell you what I'd do, I'd buy that car and many more like it. Today's music is like today's cars, I have not much desire for any, give me all the old cars, Ford, Dodge, Chevy, i'd take any. That is one bitchin' ride. Thanks for sharing, what a possession for the buyer.

      I thought that the first Grand Torino was in 1972, when intermediate cars were getting bigger and performance was giving away to luxury. In high school I had a 1971 Mustang and a friend had a 1972 Grand Torino Sport. This car was yellow, a fast-back, and had a hood scoop, with a 351C-2V!

      One word and a few years. The Torino is the Ford midsize car of 1968-1971 but there were still NON Gran Torinos in the full frame, taller, heavier 72.

    I had the ultimate customer ordered 69 Torino GT, he couldn’t pay for it so I bought it new from dealer, as I recall it was well over $4200. And included a 390 with special cam ,lifters, etc.and interior was bucket seats with console mounted 3 spd automatic, had a/c and stereo ,white with red stripe and red interior. Had it evaluated at 450Hp, my first brand new car. Lasted18 months and over 50k miles. Was wrecked 9 times, almost all other drivers fault. I guess they thought the paint scheme was a bullseye.

      @ednorton1853 Před 5 lety +2

      well I dont recall saying he would get more money for it. You certainly didnt mention he was going to sell the car. Further more seemed pretty obvious to me that my suggestions were aimed towards having a better over all car period. Selling it is really irrelevant and ashame. None the less you never get back what you put in doing a car. I have never built a car that I expected to make money on. If im building one for myself I automatically know im not going to get more than half of what I have put in it. If I do i consider it a blessing . Most logical people who have built cars understand this from jump street. I build cars to perform first and foremost. They have to run very well. Then stop, and turn at the same level. When those conditions are met then I beat the shit out of them to make sure they are durable. And cosmetics is the last thing I focus on. Form follows function.
