    Hello sir, Jay jinendra!
    I hope you are doing well .
    First of all , I really appreciate your efforts to give us a good pack of knowledge.
    I have a question which is bothering me that as per student visa regulation one can work 20hrs per week as a student. So how we can work more than 20hrs if we have paid internship as a part of placement yr?
    You have mentioned that students can work up to 60hrs as per regulations but I want to know a little more about it that how its possible?
    Thank you sir for your response in advance and I really appreciate your work and helpfulness.

    • @KeinShah
      @KeinShah  Před rokem

      thats the benefit of placement. it doesnt really come under work, it comes under education/training etc, so 40hrs on that is allowed as a part of the placement year and additional 20hrs part time work. it can get tricky sometimes with the rules, so it is best to check and confirm with the university and your employer during placement year.

    I am sorry mate but some of the points are not true, I would suggest you add that in your next video so that students get to know the truth.
    1) you can opt for placement even after you haven’t opted in the beginning. Its 100% possible and I have friends who have opted after coming to the UK.
    2) Your IHS money could get waste if you don’t find a placement. Out of 10 students only 4 got a refund in 6 months time. Some are still chasing.
    3) If you fail any assignment and your result did came late before the last date of opt-in placement year. You won’t get a placement.
    TBH, I have seen only 10% of students do get placement as there are so many terms and conditions hidden.
    Thank you

    • @KeinShah
      @KeinShah  Před 2 lety +2

      Hello Karan,
      Thanks for pointing out.
      1. Yes, It is possible to do that, some universities do accept it. But it would be better to have it sorted in the initial application itself to avoid all the hassle of changing over after coming to UK.
      2. After the graduation, should you choose to go for PSW or Tier 2, the IHS would be refunded, the process is very simple, but time taking.
      3. Yes, placement needs to be applied for before the deadline, else it may be a problem.
      Students who really worked hard towards securing a placement, do get it. I know so many of them who got placed and even got job offers after placement. Those who start their journey with focus on making money and working cash in hand and at warehouse and care homes, mostly fail to get placement as they make good money at those jobs and then the focus is diverted from placement to making money. This is by far the most common case that I have noticed. Another problem is coming to UK without any sort of experience. One can't (and shouldn't) get a management jobs without any sort of operations experience.
      Thank you.

    How much loan then one should plan to take up if the course is technically 2 years long and how can a student manage the living expense for that one extra year although the course fee for that second year (placement year) is comparatively less ? Maybe I am missing something but can you please clarify this doubt of mine. Thankyou.

    • @KeinShah
      @KeinShah  Před rokem +1

      Depends on individuals financial condition. Most people I know take collateral free loan from SBI bank, 7.5lakhs. Pay back starts after your course ends.. So it's a very good deal.
      You can manage your expenses and save for fees for placement year. And in placement year, you can start to save for visa (psw or tier 2) first. And then start saving for loan payback. It is manageable and I know many students doing that.

    • @Man_Tri_Ji

      Okay lets just say that I am able to make enough to first save for

      Yes. It is paid. It can be unpaid also. Depends on where you apply and where you get.

      @@KeinShah paid means they will pay us working for them but now I. Confused by your statement, what is the meaning of paid placements? We have to pay to give us opportunity or they will pay us for working?

    Which universities has batter placements

    • @KeinShah
      @KeinShah  Před 2 lety

      This needs to be checked manually as no university guarantees 100% placement. Thru would just guide you and provide all resources for placement. But securing a placement is your own personal responsibility. So, for all universities, it's pretty much the same. Some universities like ARU has a very good employibility team. That would be helpful.
