When i saw the title for this video i smiled, last week magic sam came up in my you tube recomandations, it was Sam's Boogie, as soon as i heard it i was like i've got to learn that, i've got the main part down just need to add the finishing touches now. If anyone hasn't heard it yet youtube sam's boogie, it's one of the best pieces of guitar i've heard, that man had that special thing that the greats have.
@@renhoek3851 Yeah standard, there a couple of lessons on here one with mark aganesie or something like that, and one with old school blues, to be honest some of the licks i just improvise once i got the main boogie riff down.
Hi ,the late and beloved Sam Maghett is my favorite guitar player.Because he sounds good or died too soon ?,i really dont know.i didn t have the chance to meet him but Eddie Shaw,Odie Payne and Junior Wells told me a lot about him,God bless them all!!!
Aw man! Love love love Magic Sam. I would say he influenced a lot of blues rockers that came after him, players and singers. Anyone familiar with Fool for Your Stocking by ZZ top will notice that riff quickly. I was late getting around to Sam, but better late than never. Thanks for shining a light on a lot of underappreciated players that never got their due. ✌️
This is my mosts useful channel these days, Kirk.I have a favor to ask: Can you enable looping on your vids so I can borrow an idea or two more readily?

Nice one, I was trying to find a way of playing it, did you play it in standard tuning?

Love Magic Sam’s “West Side Soul” and “Black Magic” sets. Recently learned Easy Baby.

OH, That's a great one.
Nice. Interesting. 🙂😀 👍
1:52 love it!
Really interesting that the guitar sound is acoustic almost and you have the feel of full on electric at such low volume.

Wonderful playing as always - not sure he's underrated. He's considered a giant of west side blues here in Chicago.
that’s the thing he was so big in chicago but only chicago sadly. didn’t help the first label flopped either
My soul danm son

Need a Univox!
Any lessons like what chords you are playing to get the same thing?
