If you put some cardboard around the base of the post under the house, it will make it easy to see droppings when the house is being occupied

I’ve been looking at bat houses for a while back conservation and management does a double house so they can go back-and-forth if it gets too hot or too cold. Anyway, they make amazing houses and they’re endorsed by Mirlan D TUTTLE, 👍
From what I understand the color depends on region and will help your house to achieve the correct temperature from absorbing sunlight.
That’s my understanding too. Brown was the recommended color for Oklahoma. However I read elsewhere it’s not as important for generally warm climates.

Not yet! Was hoping this spring but I read it can take a couple years. So many beautiful birds have loved the new perch though 😂
