It’s crazy how far CGI and technology in general has come since 1995. Back then I thought the animals in Jumanji looked so real and now they look pretty decent but not horrible, except the monkeys lol

Yeah that's what I was thinking... I think it looks pretty decent because back then they would mix CGI with real footage or like real props... Unlike today where everything is CGI...

The monkeys looked bad even then. They just couldn't do it properly back in the 90s.

That's a relief to find out that the monkeys were intentionally made to not look like real monkeys because I always thought that was the weakest CG in the movie. Great movie and the sequel was surprisingly good. The third one was good but not as great as the first two. RIP Robin Williams.
